We used to have at least 3 fishing meets a year. I'm not a fisherman but went on a couple of them and they were great fun. I remember @chrisgreen ran a good one. Bit of a fishing competition and then a few beers and lies about the days catches. Great fun.

If any of you want to organise fishing get togethers its easy enough, If you've no idea how to go about it just give me a shout and I get get the ball rolling for you

They are catching Cod at the moment. The fisherman are mad, they are wrapped up in a dozen layers and still look freezing. The thing is we are lucky enough to have World Famous Waldo's Fish n Chips in Sutton, so no need to sit for hours on a frosty beach for a nice bit of Cod.

What about the Faggot Fish (Veineous Faggatous) That is only found on the East Coast and has been a staple for years, funny little fish, very tasty, can be eaten hot or cold, cold is better. Needs to be sliced as thin, as thin can be, like Sashimi

I assume that your fully booked this time of the year with anglers? given your proximity to the Cod fields of the North Sea?

I vote for Jasmin Camping as the best campsite for Sea fishing

I have a suggestion could we please have a " best camsites for fishing" in the best camsites area I think this would benefit a lot of members on here and would be very helpful.
