Hi All,
Ordered Mobilvetta K Yacht 80 with upgraded 4400kg chassis October '17 and up until today I was expecting it off-production on 22nd-24th of this month. Dealer informed me on the 15th of March that it was still on track. Now appears to be off-production May 17th!

Dealer has been very poor at keeping me up to-date and has never initiated any communication since paying the deposit! Why should I have expected anything different?

Ah well, hopefully worth the wait and a bit more time to sell a kidney to pay for it!

Dumb question perhaps?
Where is the weight split between rear and front axle limit shown?

On a standard Fiat Camper chassis of either 3,500kg or 3,650kg then the maximum allowance on the front is 1,850kg and the rear 2,000kg. If you uprate to 3,850kg (tyres and suspension) then you can achieve 2,240kg on the rear axle.

That said, if you can't get any decent weight over the front axle then your steering will be very light.

Also, your standard tyres are rated at about 2,060kg hence the reason why it is not safe to overload the rear; Legal aside, that is.

So is this stated on a weight plate or V5 or whatever?

What about the 4400kg version split?

we were at 1900 on rear axle. We are having rear assist suspension fitted to increase rear axle weight we already have the correct tyres We will not need extra hab battery we have 2 6kg bottles at moment. we will mainly use sites with services etc.
we do have a few warranty issues with marquis at the moment but things are moving. There after sales is not great but we are finding that many of the larger companies are similar. We wanted to buy new from a company near to us for warranty issues. We love the van and look forward to getting into Europe with it.

Thanks for the feedback - I'm sure you will enjoy it once you get the issues resolved and you get to Europe - I'm envious and look forward to doing the same.

Any future feedback on both the Yacht and Marquis would be welcome
