Hymer exsis I-522
Hi .
I am missing my tow eye. My hymer is the exsis i-522 built upon a Ford Chassis.
I have been trying to identify this part for over a year. No answers from Ford or from Hymer.
I believed that the chassis is a transit 2007 Mk7. But when I try to locate the eye for a mk 7 I understand that the mk 7 has a fixed tow point...... No eye?
So does anyone have this hymer model? Can anyone help me identify and locate a new tow eye?
Thanks for any help

Have you looked under the passenger seat with a bright torch ? I know mine is a different model but spent half an hour at Goodwood looking for the towing eye before finding it there ! Using the torch on my phone hadn’t helped as it wasn’t bright enough and the towing eye was under some electrics. I did the decent thing and asked a nearby motorhome if had found his, he was convinced it didn’t have one until he looked where I suggested.

Thanks.
I've had that seat out to replace batteries and place a controller for solar...... which incidentally is absolutely perfect! always fully charged and never ran out of electrics even wild camping. Great advice given by others to achieve that. Its unfortunately not under either of the seats. It would be great if anyone had some measurement of the thread? One person has suggested 14mm outside diameter? Left hand thread?

Might be this one??
Thanks
I'm willing to try this . My only reservation is that my chassis is from 2007 which would imply that it would be different from 2014 onwards. Ive no way of knowing but to try it. Thanks again...... Unless there is anyone out there with the same model who could perhaps measure the thread on their eye hook?

If you take the m/h to a decent engineering place they will be able to identify it in 2 mins using a thread gauge.
There are several small engineering workshops on industrial estates and in farm lock-up business units near me who are happy to help out on various small jobs. Have a drive around similar near you (wherever you are  ).

Thanks. I'm holding out to find someone with the same model. If not you're right . I'll have to find an engineer.
