I bet she cleared off thinking you were another bloody German, you should have spoken in pure Scots
Many a true word spoken in jest? Usually when I try to talk to someone in their own language, I get something slightly wrong and they ask 'where are you from?' and a simple hello turns into a conversation starter.
It didn't happen, so either Monzer's German was too perfect, or she hates foreigners! :p

That brought back memories of a Salsa weekender where there was a class to learn "Sexy Salsa". I love Salsa.

The dance teacher concerned eventually got banged up after being convicted of raping private pupils. Such is life.

We're just working on "Will you" by Hazel o Connor for our band a bit of a chew for Liz as she's going to have to do the sax solo. What bought it to mind reading this thread was the description on the music " one of the most honest and genuinely touching go on give us a shag songs ever written!"
I have a transcription of the sax part for Will you, if Liz would like a copy pm me with your email address and I'll send it to you.

And to the OP, "Fortune favours the brave" as they say.

I'd say the moral of the story is get to a campsite before 12pm so if there are any hotties leaving that day you still might have a chance to use your best chat up lines before they need to pack up and be off site 😂

Thanks she says she already has one.

I made my way to a little camping spot right up the top of Estonia. Dirt track to get to it and sits right on the Gulf of Finland. I get through the woods and out in to the camping area and who do I see sitting on her whoosh bang step with her dogs?

Yup, you've guessed it. The lovely Fraulien from the other day.

Can't believe my luck I think to myself. I parked up 50 yards away from her. There is a family in an old fire truck conversion here also so I think there may well be a chance for a yap around the campfire tonight with the whole lot of us. I nip down to the minefield memorial on the seafront and must have been away 10 minutes. I come back and the hippy van is nowhere to be seen

Now either I am one scary looking MoFo or...

She just likes her own space... as in totally on her own or....

I know her dogs get really noisy when others are about so maybe she thinks it would be rude of her to stay and let her dogs bother others.

I'm not sure but she's a free spirit that's for sure. I hope she's enjoying Estonia as much as I am.

❤️ people!

You still haven't learnt have you? If you should bump into her again don't worry about setting up or going to look at other things just go up to her and start chatting, even if it's something as corny as "we have to stop meeting like this" or better still go and ask her about her dogs, people like talking about their animals.

Or ask her what sort of toilet she has , people love a toilet thread on here . You can say you know a man who shits in a bag and puts it in a bin with his dogs poo , who knows she might do the same .

Idiot, stop playing games you men and pretending you don't fancy her. Many years ago, I met a guy I fancied at work. I always told him I have a fantastic life and a fantastic boyfriend; I was lying I was living alone and had no boyfriend. Found out years later he felt the same way about me, but it was too late and so sad :(

I never do this any more, I have girls that are"mates" "bessies" that we both openly have said we "famcy" or "would have if was years ago" blah blah, but not in a slimy or even shy way...I like it actually as we can be quite open and honest.
Doesnt mean anything, more just appreciation.

But then again, with me "fancying" doesnt come down to looks , it all the package being nice, witty, generally a good person with values etc.

I know I was a fool with the guy I worked with and really liked, he was very good looking, and all of the other girls in the store used to flirt with him but me I used to pretend he meant nothing to me. He asked me one day if I had a boyfriend and I said "yes, he is wonderful" of course the other girls didn't tell him I was lying as they wanted him!! he asked to be transferred to another branch then he left suddenly to go and live in London. I was later transferred to the same branch and when I walked in the whole room clapped me with laughter. The manager took me to one side and said OMG, so you are Gina, Chris was crazy about you he was always talking about you and wished you were single. Since then, I learned don't play games :( I agree with you completely now about the other stuff which is far more important.

Are you doing a wind up? I mean, you get a reprieve, as in, you find her a second time, against all odds, and then you do . . . what?! >.< Are you really that shy? :blusher:

If I'd known she was literally away to leave again maybe I would have.

Joking aside I try to respect people's private space. Solo campers are often happiest in their own company.

True, and I do get how you feel in that respect too. I tend to err on the side of 'not intruding' too.
Now that's where I would fall flat on my face as I always say hello to lone male and females, made me think twice now. Although I have so far never come across a lone traveller who didn't want to talk. If I say hello to someone and they just grunt, I take the hint!! but I always try. I think it's nice to meet other people.

Well, I think you have the right approach. Say hello, and go from there.
