Mirror Guard - Black or White?

I am a distributor for Seaflo, if you need an item from them I can usually supply it or take it to a show for you.
Just send me an enquiry by PM

Got the Seaflo ones today and fitted them in minutes.
They fit perfectly and seem well made out of a softish, flexible, thick plastic shell.
Well pleased so far.

Looking for mirror protectors myself. Baulking at £120 for Mirror Guards (unless MHF has a reasonable discount which I haven't seen yet) .. any review of the Seaflo version, which looks quite good. Looking around the web, they are descr4ibed as more robust than the Milenco's

I fitted the Seaflo ones a couple weeks ago, for the money they are very good. They are a thick material and robust.

No discount for Mirrorguards but a bit cheaper to buy them at motorhome shows as no P&P - we bought ours at NEC Show having ruled out the cheaper versions. Good idea to add some SOLAS tape https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/mirror-guards-any-recommendations.209429/ to make them more visible whatever version you choose.

Trying to buy Mirror guards . Contacted them 5 times both on their site and direct and no reply

Think they do all the shows so probably at Shepton now - it's a husband & wife team so not a big company.

The secret to protecting your mirrors is to drive very close to the middle of the road. When you meet a vehicle coming towards you they either get over to their n/s but if they don't you have space on your n/s.to miss a clash of mirrors.BUSBY.

I inspected the Seaflo ones at a show and the Mirror Guards and bought the Seaflow ones as they seemed to be just as robust.

Post deleted - I'd already made the comments. :banghead::banghead:

Regardless of colour they will still get hit ! Mirror guard every time .

Dont agree you can be almost against the rock of a mountain and they dont slow down. I was actually stationary to allow a vehicle to pass and still caught the mirror. No damage MG fitted .😍

The speeding idiotic MHer who hit us obviously expected our camper to jump over the wall at the side of us to avoid him hitting our mirror ... he was a total pillock and nothing we could do about it!

Only when they are driving "tippers" and are coming down the hill into Shrewsbury.  Nowhere to go except into the hedge!. All the way to Birmingham TLS depot without a driver mirror!. Bugger!.

At times there is nothing you can do like when I drove off the road in Germany to avoid a head on collision with an oncoming car on my side off the road.He still ripped the side of my van out and I was 2 foot off the road with my entire van but many times you can.In 58 years of driving,,40 of them for a living I have had two mirrors smashed.Lucky possibly but in the same time never won the Lottery or a Raffle.BUSBY.

So what are your road safety qualifications ?Every incident is different and outcomes differ depending on risk .

Do you need qualifications to be a safe driver who concentrates and tries to anticipate other driver's ACTIONS? I don't think there is one unless your referring to ROSPA which I am afraid although I collected a few awards from them I really don't rate.BUSBY.

Never visit Cornwall without some form of protection on your mirrors.
I've got marks on the bottom of my drivers mirror where a council van went underneath mine!!😲😨

Simple misjudgement on behalf of both parties. I stopped to see if any damage and he flecked of in a cloud of diesel smoke so we didn't get a chance to compare notes. Mind you he might have had to explain any marks on his roof.

Also mirror guards come in useful as SWMBO uses them as a guide to how close she can drive to the hedges.
