Looking for a campsite central England, close to a largish interesting town where a few friends could meet to celebrate an anniversary. Any suggestions please?
Thank you.

Maybe not as central but Tewksbury CAMC site , plenty of pubs , eatery’s within easy walking distance

Thank you for the suggestions so far - we are not CAMC members so some of the suggestions are not suitable.
Thank you and keep the suggestions coming please!

Shrewsbury show ground for location to town

Lyndon Top but further to any towns

Burford, although not large has quite a lovely high street with plenty of eating places. This is right at the top of the high street and isn’t CAMC .

Droitwich Spa... don't laugh... lovely town, everything you need is there....super site at the Marina and loads of space up there...and... easy train journey if you want to go to Worcester for the day , or you can cycle it down the canal towpath.... My fam laughed at me when I suggested it last year.... but they loved it there

Walkable into Ludlow although along quite a busy road (with pavement)

Are you C&CC members.? If so site at Kidderminster, nice lockside pub and walk along canal to town centre. Not sure Kidderminster qualities as ‘interesting’ though!

We live just outside Kidderminster and unfortunately I would not recommend it to anyone. The site at Wolverley is quite pleasant with nice canalside walks.
