Microfibre Towels

We're in a 5.4m PVC and the only place to dry is hanging things up in the washroom, and even then we need to be a bit inventive to dry 2 dog towels and 2 human towels at the same time.
We got a telescopic shower curtain pole to fit across the back of our pvc by the rear doors. The decathlon towels (another vote for them from me) are only lightweight so are easily hung from there. Or draped over the back of the driver and passenger seat.

Travel towels from Mountain Warehouse for us.
Microfibre from Decathlon for the mutt.
they both do the jobs & dry quickly but prefer the feel of the Mountain Warehouse ones on our skin-more like a Terry towel, the Microfibre ones feel cold when wet!

I thought about that and had hoped to put a rod up behind the cupboards at the back butting up to the door but they're too close to the door and the bed is high which would mean a pole would have to go under the cupboards and the anything wet would be resting on the duvet.

That's interesting, I want a towel like feel for human drying, maybe I should order one from each and the "unliked" one can go for the dog drying.

I love my Hammas towel which isn't really a towel as such at all, but its big enough to wrap round me. Its very absorbent cotton and dries incredibly fast.

@ Mark and Mindy
The Mountain W towels dry very quick either outside or draped over the back of a seat!
Our big towels are 34 cms X 60cms.
They are a lot softer than the Decathlon ones.

We changed over to microfibres towels for our current trip. We got ours from Mountain Warehouse. Really pleased with them and we have now purchased some more from Decathlon down in Spain. Quality of both brands seems to be similar.

We've twice tried microfiber towels. We ditched the first lot because they stank after a few days. Later we tried some which had a magic "no pong" technology. Ditched those very quickly because they still stank after a few days. We didn't throw them out but have kept them as beach towels, for which they are perfect, being compact.

The smell comes from dead skin stuck in amongst the fine fibres. Which also doesn't all get removed when the towel is washed, making the problem worse with time.

My suggestion is take your conventional towels with you on your first trip with the microfibre ones just in case you need them. :)

We have the mountain warehouse ones too ... very happy with the towelling feel (they do the other kind too so make sure you choose towelling if that’s what you want). Much nicer than the ones we bought for cycle camping a few years ago ...

I take in the quick-drying aspect, but wonder whether others have considered that the moisture has to evaporat somewhere and I would prefer it not to be inside the MH.

If they are quick dry it may be possible to find a short window of dry weather outside.

OuR alternative would be to hang them under our garage door which lifts upwards.

Must get a couple to experiment. We have both Mountain Warehouse and Decathlon near us in Katowice.

With our normal fluffy towels we hang them on the wing mirrors, but seem to be the only ones to do that, although we are not often With other MHs

Thanks to all the contributors thus far to this interesting thread on microfiber towels and cloths.
Oh ordered some a few weeks back, a pack of two infact, on opening I discovered a long haired rough one, and the second was a short haired smooth one.
Now its more obvious to me....the rough one is for a dog that we dont have, and the smooth one is for me(y):D
Guess who got the rough one?:D:imoutahere:
