You are right Martin, I do want to widen the gateway, even though the new posts have only been in less than a year, however, the contents of one's bank account determines that the width of the gateway will suffice for now.

Personally I don't like it the lounge is far too small always the problem with length ways beds.

It's only 40 mm, (that's less than 2 inches in old money) wider than a Flair!!. To be honest I think I will stick with ours for now.

There's also a nice Clou liner on mobile.de at the minute 79,900 euros, 2003 on a MAN chassis, so roughly same price.

That will be body width, top hung mirrors will go over the gate post, which reminds me of going into a friends drive in France with about an inch either side and there was a raised concrete section between the posts which allowed the mirror casing to rise over the post capping and then drop at the other side, about half an inch thus time.

Lovely van but the layout is rubbish compared to yours. As with all these big vans travel and access becomes restricted and as you know we've had a few. Stick to what you've got mate in the real world it's a better van.

I had a look at a belgian owned vario at taghazoute last year. On a 10t coach chassis, rear engine so no hump,auto, absolutely superb looking vehicle - and it was 15 years old!

Yes I know what you mean Martin although because of the LEZ in Germany the price of the RMB and Vario have come down considerably and with the exchange rate at the minute that is the place to look at, things may and will probably change though.

Some of the older ones you see advertised on mobile.de have particulate filters retro fitted.

But, i dont think its a problem fortourists because the stellplatze dont seem to be in the eco zones.
