Mercedes 316 not revving?

I used cleaner on my Petrol XK8 as it was not used much, eliminated the hesitancy. I will give this a go, thanks

Coupled with the new vacuum unit fitted, the van is running very smoothly, with good pickup. No hesitancy at all from anywhere in the rev range

Cost of proper OEM unit £228. Total bill with labour £420. Van runs sweet as a nut now, just did a 750 mile round trip from Wales down to Essex. Now getting full power and around 26mpg at 60mph on cruise control.

Bloody hell!
I had to limp over the Alps and across France.
Ordered a vacuum do-dab from Amazon (£30), ½ an hour of my time and we're golden.
Get an autel ap200 (£50) and a suitable cable which should point you in the right direction for fault finding.

Check your stop light bulbs and wiring ie if you touch the foot brake while you are accelerating it will cut off your power is this what you are experiencing

Thats on the ducato, this is a Merc.
