Wouldn't dream of it. I lived in Basingstoke in my late teens and early twenties, then in Overton about 6years after I got married. :Cool:
Anyway, it's famous! Basingstoke is mentioned in a Gilbert and Sullivan operreta (Iolanthe, I think - but don't quote me on that )
