Meet at Misterton, Nr Doncaster

Hi Misterton funsters,

If anyone fancies a 3.5 mile round walk/pleasant stroll over fields, along side a river and a canal taking in 2 watering holes on route Mick will be happy to accommodate you on Saturday (around lunchtime when hostelries are open). something for the men to take their minds off the ladies spending money. :Rofl1::Rofl1:

Sheila

Only if Mick has a 4 x 4 and a boat:Doh:
Do they have pubs with roads up to em:thumb:
Geo

Hi Geo,

Sorry forgot about the ones with sylphlike figures who dont need to excercise:getmecoat:, there are 2 hostelries within a short walking distance of the site. Saga tours spring to mind:Rofl1:

Geo has two definitions of a yard:
a) back garden
b) too far to walk.
:Rofl1::Rofl1:

but his favourite is a yard of ale :Rofl1::Rofl1:

I resemble that remark:Wink:
If the good Lord had wanted us to walk, he would not have allowed the invention of the wheel.
Who am I to challenge such wisdom:RollEyes:

Hi all

The round walk is not for men only, come on they have already suggested that they will be sat with feet up having a few alcoholic beverages.

Can I ask a favour of funsters coming to Misterton, due to an unfortuneate accident at about 5.45 am this morning, which involved the awning on our RV, namely due to heavy rain during the early hours and Mick not having a big enough drop on 1 side the torrential rain gathered in the canvas and the weight broke the large aluminium roller on the front and broke the side struts:cry:. Result we do not have an awning for the meet. If anyone has a gazebo which we can use in case the weather is a bit iffy we would appreciate the loan of them.

Thank you

Sheila

Hi eup

The pub in the village centre does allow dogs in and the other one people were sat outside as the weather was good with their dogs and water bowls were there for the dogs. as to whether they allow dogs inside this one i dont know.

Sheila, I will bring a Gazebo that you can HAVE
Impossible for 1 person to erect it , so it is of no use to us.

Sheila , sorry to hear of your awning accident but if no gazebo, consider two RVs parked awning to awning for shelter :thumb:

Hi Sheila

We will be bringing our two event shelters that we had at Peterborough, hopefully you will have enough room to put them up, you are more than welcome to use them.

Get a trolley to drag the beer around the golf course and do both :Rofl1::Rofl1:

Or you could offer to caddy his beer for him Stew. :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:
Jock.

There is a bubble in ya suggestion Jock. Being the athlete I am and the high speed at which I slaunter along the beer might get too frothy man :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

Oh how you have changed Jock. I am sure Rita used to tell us you would never drive over 30mph in the motorhome in case you shook up ya beer supplies :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:

Hi all,

Problem of shelter for evening socialising has been solved, Sundowners have 2 events tents which we can use, Jock offered lighting for these but i feel as the nights are getting lighter it would have been unfair for him to carry extra weight, Im sure we can all bring a torch. so thanks to all who offered gazebos,

Sheila

Well done Sheila and a big thank you to sundowners.

Due to the fact we at the moment dont have a MH..

And in fairness to other members, just in case we dont have one by this "Rally", I have informed by PM = Runrig.. that we may not be able to make it and to let our spot go to the next on the reserve list.. not fair to hang on just in case...

My brother Brian (Hilldweller) and I after Zahora, are destined never to get back together.. :Rofl1:

You all just go and enjoy yourselves while we remain motorhome less..

Old-mo: Sorry to hear that, you are on my "want to meet" list.
Next time.

Sheila: Plan B. We will now arrive Friday am sometime, like yourselves after a long drive of about 16/17 miles. (Without an en route overnight stop)
We will be really knackered after that.

Cheers

Hi
We will be arriving around lunchtime after the gruelling 11 mile trip
See you all there
Dave & Amanda
Jax & Luna

11 miles :Eeek: you'll use more petrol just warming the engine :Rofl1:

Your not wrong :thumb:
Missus has ended up having to work cannot get out of it Friday + Saturday night so she has to follow in the van and travel back and forth
It will be a bit more cost effective on fuel than our last meet 3 weeks ago with the RVOC, Carvynick Cornwall 385 miles each way, this meet will be very wallet friendly

round trip of just over 2000 miles for me, with a slight detour to John O'Groats. Will be in Scarborough tomorrow, see y'all at the show.
