I am running the Mull of Kintyre 1/2 marathon the following week so are off too tour Scotland islands.

Sorry we wont be able to make this meet, after a rethink about the mileage which is approx 450 mile round trip, we had hoped that we could have had a day or two extra there, but now with Carmarthen meet moved to May also , it has made that difficult now


Sorry to be missing out on this great meet, it was chance also to put faces to names of more funsters

Extended stay

Hi Shiela,
Will it be possible to stay on site a couple of days after the meet as it's the Stratford show the following w/e and if I can do Stratford from Misterton that will save me a 1,000 mile round trip !!
I hope to do 8 shows and meets this year and the nearest one will be a round trip of 800 miles, but the total for the year would be a staggering 8,000 miles and cost nearly £2,400 in diesel. !!!!
I think I will have to cut back on luxury items like food, I could do with losing a lb or two, will see how things turn out,

It will not be a problem to either stay over before or after the meet, the only difference will be that the site fee will revert back to £7.00 per night without EHU or £10 per night with EHU. :thumb:

You'll be getting a visit from a lady with a big club.

I hear she's pacing the floor all night muttering "what have I done, what have I done, half the damned forum is turning up.".

The farm owner has already booked Securicor to collect all the cash, the local bank said it was too risky to accept that much cash.

The main road outside is soon to be closed, they are putting in a new sewer to carry all our poo away.

Last I heard the local butcher put down a deposit on a Bentley Mulsanne Turbo.

The villagers have got wind and a "Protect our Village from the Travellers" campaign has started. Major General Sir Harry Marchington-Smythe said in the local paper "My family have lived in Misterton for eleven generations, we did not budge in the civil wars and we are not going to see our village overrun by Itinerants now".

I believe Jim is rewriting The Motorhome Security Handbook to include a chapter on "What to do when your motorhome encounters a roadblock manned by angry natives". I quote from a sneak preview..... "Those with a good supply of semtex on board will have little difficulty, those who come ill prepared will have to forage locally for a large supply of weed killer". It goes on to warn "Manufacturing explosives in your motorhome is not advised. It is very difficult to get rid of the smells, better that you erect your awning and mix the ingredients in there".

anyhing else is a bonus and above all nothing is compulsory
Fun is what its all about
