May Bank Holiday Weekend

We're off to the Darley Dales Steam Fair Friday to Monday with Pete Waterman opening the fair.

Plenty to do and see, even travelling on the trains.

There's a little rain forecast too but who cares, we're not at work.

Well, van's all packed and ready to go but I'm sitting here watching the rain precipitating down and wondering why I'm going to drive 50 miles to sit in a very soggy field.

Perhaps I'll stay home after all

We arrived at the Bakewell C&CC site today. Lovely setting but need the sun to make an appearance now as it's been peeing down ever since we arrived :(

Were of to the New Forest for the 3 days with our granddaughter, hoping the sun makes an appearance.

We'll be at Waterfront Country Park - near Gainsborough.

Weather permitting - golfing Saturday and antique centres/car boot at Hemswell on Sunday.
? visit to east coast Monday.

marshal's delight

Lynne and myself will be enjoying close up racing at Silverstone. We are parked here now with rain gently sending us off to sleep. Up at 6.30 fri and sat morn, and 7am sun. A lot of the races will be televised. Spent a while earlier admiring a pilot in a helicoptor racing around the circuit no more than 100 foot high, following the cars. We all agreed he must be mad!!!
Hope the rain holds off for the rest of weekend.
What ever you are doing this weekend, enjoy.
