I sent in the appropriate paperwork, including SV Tech report etc to change from 3500 MPM to 3700. I've had everything back, they have changed the revenue weight to 3700 and confirmed that a refund for vehicle tax is on its way to me. I have called and spoken to DVLA, they didn't seem to fully understand why I would want the MPM to be changed and suggested that I apply again with a covering letter. I'm assuming that I am right in thinking that common sense says the 2 should be the same ?

I can see ours been updated today, same issue. When they said apply again, what did they mean? Submit another V70, it doesnt have a MPM field, just the revenue weight?

tax class was changed to PHGV with the revenue weight

I’ve been mulling this over as well. The person I spoke to when I queried why the MPM had not been changed suggested that I include a letter when I apply again. I’ve been told by my local Fiat Professional garage that it will probably be the end of March before they get the parts they need to repair my steering, so will hopefully be all sorted by then - Just have to go with the flow

It's a common fault with them happened to a few years ago took 4 months for them to get it right.
At least they got the revenue weight right.

I've just uprated my current van, good job I logged into my account and checked the V5 it was showing MAM at 4000kg but Revenue weight at 3500kg and tax class PLG.

A a couple of emails sorted it, now revenue weight 4000kg & tax class PHGV.
Got the new V5 today.
