Hi, hope you can help. I have a Shurflo Trailking water pump, 7 lpm flow rate. Can I use this in my water system with a tankless water heater that operates at 10 lpm flow rate?

I'm not sure if it's best to exchange the pump for a higher flow rate?
Or downsize the shower to a 5 lpm flow rate? But will a 7 lpm pump be too hefty in this scenario?

When reading the tech specs, the pump says 30 psi and the shower is rated for 20-80 psi, so I don't think the pressure will be an issue.

The pump will also be supplying one small sink. We won't be using both at the same time.

Many thanks, Lottie

Hey, yes that would work fine I would say, you could probably uprate the pump but even the biggest vans only have 11.3lpm flow rates so won’t gain a tremendous amount for the cost output. Always easy enough to swap the pump out if it is sub-par. If anything you’ll probably get hotter water with a lesser flow rate than the boiler is rated at.

I think our shurflo is 15-20 psi but it is an American build.

I have read don't go more than 5 psi higher than original install.

7 years campers before that
limiting factor is usually the water heater which will have a max psi rating go over that and you can split the heater
