Marseille parking anyone?

can't find any info on poss parking in Marseille - just for daytime - nr Vieux Port ideally. Any ideas?

I cant help with parking for the van.

Just be careful wherever you do park. We had the car broken into a couple of years ago parked adjacent to the Vieux Port. We were actaully staying ina hotel overlooking the harbour. They smashed the window and rummaged in the glove box and the boot, fortunately we had left nothing of value in the car.

The Gendarmes said it was very common that gangs would target foreign (tourists) vehicles hoping for rich pickings. There is a large illegal immigrant community, in and around Marseilles...

yeah I heard it can be a bit rough - just wondered if there was anywhere (new) with a bit of security; will prob end up giving it a miss as we got "done" earlier in the year, "once bitten..." and all that. Thx for yr input though!:thumb:
