Maps..

Definately paper maps for initial planning to know where we are going, what the route will look like etc

Here’s a map of Germany. Do you think that the roads will have changed much?

My daughter & partner paper the toilet walls with OS maps. Fascinating when you are in there .I bought some to do the same .Cheap as chips at car boots.

I have a Spanish ring bound michelin map with route highlighted & pages clipped so you can turn from one to the next & the same for France & Germany ,when I venture there.

I wish I could find a large scale map which is laminated and you can mark the route on but isn't permanent ie you can wipe it clean before you use it again.

We found this Michelin one for France
don't know if there are any more, 'Plastifie' seems to be the word to look for 🙂

Received these two beauties from my son as a birthday present.

I’m pretty old school and whilst I have a sat nav built into my head unit and Apple Car play allowing me access to Waze, Google Maps, etc, I still prefer a real tangible map. These are big old lumps and not light weight but very detailed and easy to use.

Does anyone else still use maps or do the majority rely on sat navs?

I love real maps, and was taught by my father at a very early age to read them. I also used them all the time when I was flying. However, these days, it is so much easier to use GPS that I could no longer be bothered to use a proper map.

A navigator, our lass ain't; so it's the Garmin for us! However, we always have a printed map for emergencies, and to assist with trip planning.

I remember when we used to go on holiday to the Greek islands years ago, we always hired a car for a few days and it was impossible to get hold of any kind of decent map. The ones available were like they were made by the local primary school 🙄😆

Last year in Zante Google maps was perfect, as good as here 🙏👍

Love a paper map, use them to plan my journeys, think this is because of my time spent in the Army when on BAOR Freight Service based in Mulheim back in the last century all we got was one of these,
