I second that! I’ve been a member for two years now and it’s worth every penny. You literally post any issues you might have and normally get a response in minutes!Even if it isn't a simple thing like a push-fit joint needing to be resealed or replaced and you do have to replace the tank don't panic as it isn't that difficult if you can get access. As said before they tend to be standard parts and CAK tanks have been recommended on here before (I've not used them so can't vouch).
To trace a leak I tend to dry off the pipes etc as much as I can and then use tissue paper "tells" (kitchen roll or loo paper wrapped around the pipe). If the tissue is wet when you check after an hour or next day then the leak is higher and the water is running or dripping down onto the tell. At some point you will find a dry tell and you will then know that the leak is below the dry tell and above the wet tell. I've traced a lot of leaks in old houses (and cars and vans) using this method cheap and effective.
Just a heads up is that after 5 or 6 posts you can't post any more for free and will need to become a paid member. Up to you but the membership is worth every penny IMHO as you can then access discounts and also come to any of the rallies once we are off and running with them again. We've also had "fix it" rallies but any issues will soon have a group of "experts" more than willing to give a hand.
