Rally Malvern OCTOBER Show

Ssorry to note changes in plans for those who now can't make it. But thanks for updating so your marshalls don't have to wait around ready to spring into action.

Good news for the marshals, I should now be arriving around 4.30ish instead of 6.59👍👍

I’m here and the ground is a bit muddy but firm and altogether not too bad. Fingers crossed the rain holds off for a few days 🤞

We are situated right opposite the main hall.

Just a heads-up that the forum will be down tomorrow night so if you have any changes of plans, please post on Friday morning.

Last minute family issue today and as a result we can’t make it this weekend. Sorry it’s late notice but other things were occupying our thoughts. Have a great weekend

Sorry to hear that, Purple2 and thanks for letting us know.

There are worse places to ‘work’ 😀

Don’t forget to let us know if your plans change - the marshals are counting down the hours till wine-o’clock 😀

I have only Marshal’ed once and it’s a pain waiting for funsters who don’t arrive.
So if you can’t make or arrive late please let them know.
Janine, Lee, Rob I hope the weather stays fine for you all.

I must say it was very civilised to have a 7:00pm arrivals cut off rather than the usual 9:00pm.

As it was we stood down 4:30 Friday as everyone was in. Thanks to all who had updated us on their changes of arrival plans which makes a big difference to keeping your volunteer marshals happy.

Our grateful thanks go to Kannon Fodda and Janine who looked after us at Malvern, it’s a shame there was no coffee tent so no socialising. But I do understand the problems of the logistics. We are grateful that somebody gives up their time to help the rest of us.
The show was a bit disappointing as there were so few exhibitors and the prices of refreshments in the “entertainment?” was criminal. I am happy to pay £5.50 for a pint of good ale but it was tasteless fizzy liquid from a pressure pump and £12.50 for a very ordinary bottle of plonk!
I think Warners are taking the “P” out of the punters in a captive market with searches on the door.
Sadly I think it is the last Warners show I will attend. As I don’t like being robbed in broad daylight.

We would also like to thank the marshals for giving up their time to make sure we were all pitched ok, must say though that the show was a great improvement over previous years with better catering, more trade stands and much improved attendance figures certainly of people staying at the show.

Thank you to all who took the time to organise pitches etc. We enjoyed our visit to Malvern glad we got to see the sun come out. Take care, safe travels Mick & Toni
