I can state really quite easily that the above will occur. It will be gridlockIt's not the M25 braced for closure, it's anyone remotely in the area. Remaining local roads are probably going to gridlock, it's bad enough when there is a bit of a prang, but whole weekend means area could be a complete no go zone.
Getting to work is not going to be fun.![]()

Now you have shiny new panels let spring start and get the hellmoit if there thenI'm retired from my career. But being slightly mad I have a role for winter where every little helps.
Ah but now I've got to earn the funds to pay the insurance premium on those shiny panels ....Now you have shiny new panels let spring start and get the hellmoit if there then![]()
Yup but on the M25 you need eyeballs in your exhaust, the driving can be quite poor and as a regular motorist on all the motorways M25 is No1, the M5 is a close secondIt has been closed many times in the past for roadworks. Its only the southerners getting excited about nothing. The M25 is dead at night. A proper busy motorway is the M6. Busy day and night.
Just pray they don't run over time!Hmm, I will be travelling to Chertsey CCC on the 18th (if it's not underwater) but that will be in the afternoon so hopefully it will be clear by then.
I can stay on the M3 and come off at Sunbury and use local roads, but it's easier to use the M25 if its open.Just pray they don't run over time!
From BBC: "It is the first time there has been a scheduled daytime closure of all lanes on the M25 since it opened in 1986."It has been closed many times in the past for roadworks.
Not announced officially but April 19 to 22 has come up in one press report.Having searched online, I cannot find the dates when the further M25 closures are scheduled for - between now and September!
Does anyone know?
Cheers thanks for the update. If you hear anything it would be helpful if you could post on here please. Not announced officially but April 19 to 22 has come up in one press report.
