Here is the updated list of attendees. I have also attached a copy of the paid invoice to Seaview Services (the coach company). You will see that I collected £376 and have paid out £360. So I propose to use the balance of £16 as a tip for the driver as a tip, along with the £20 yet to be collected, assuming I get that on the day. That would be a 10% tip to the driver - if anyone disagrees with that please let me know. (The alternative would be no driver tip and give everyone back 94p.)

Agreed (y)... but just let's make sure we're not being driven by Mr Grumpy :D2.
Has an itinerary/route been fixed upon?
No idea of what to see [Needles o_O ?] or what there is so happy to go along with whatever.

The coach company has suggested “Hi Chris
You’re that side of the island so start at the Needles then go along Military road past Black gang over the top drop down into Ventnor (Botanic Gardens) perhaps then go
inland to Godshill for a spot of lunch, then see what time it was have a word with the driver then plan the afternoon. But the coach is yours for the day to do as you wish ?.”

So I propose to go with that.

Alice has decided to stay at Lymington with the dogs, so I have one spare adult ferry ticket if anyone who is coming has not bought one yet. PM me if interested

Yes we can accommodate 2 more. It’s £10 per head for the coach and you have to book your own ferry tickets . I will send you details of how to get them

We’ve had a last minute flurry of takers for the IOW coach trip. We now have 42 people and 9 dogs. It is a 55 seater coach so there is still place for a few more ( dogs will not be on seats!)

I would like to confirm numbers ASAP so if you would like to be added please let me know by PM

Is £10 for the coach trip plus you have to get your own ferry ticket which is about £10-£14.

There have been a couple of cancellations so we are now at 37 people and 8 dogs. Room for a few more. Money wise we just have enough to pay the coach fare ( I already have) but only about £4 for a tip, which we should probably supplement.

If you know of anyone else who would like to join us please let me know soonest!

If everyone chucks in a quid, that's over £40 for the driver... not a bad bonus for a day... it achieves the "10%"...
This might sound selfish but with 8 dogs perhaps we might need the extra space ?? ??

Good morning all from a bright sunny Lymington!

We have one more couple to add to the tour, @Victor. ( Brian and Pat ) but Swansea Jack ( Ray ) has cancelled.

I hope you all have your boat tickets ready for Monday morning.

It is about a ten minute walk down to the Ferry Terminal. We must be there by 0830. Anyone with mobility difficulties should be there by 0815. I suggest we all aim to arrive by 0815. The Coach “ Seaview Services” will meet us at Yarmouth,

For the tour, we can choose where we want to go, so please let me know if any special requests to add to the itinerary, which we can agree with the driver. There is information on the Isle of Wight in the Tourist Info Caravan, near the entrance to our field.

If you hear of anyone else wishing to join us please tell them to contact me or give me their names and location. We have space, we are 37 in number and the coach will seat 55. We also have 7 dogs ( not on seats, of course). I’m in the Rapido Y4CPE near to the Event Shelter where you checked in yesterday. You can’t miss it, it’s a big white box!
(A class with Oyster dish on the roof, silver Polar screen on the windscreen and a grey windbreak/dog pen and an orange fire bucket)

Here is the final final list of attendees for tomorrow. Please make your way down to the ferry terminal to arrive no later than 0830 for the 0845 ferry. I suggest leaving the site at 0800. Bring your ferry tickets, either paper, printed QR code or QR code o your smart phone.

Apologies there was an error in the last message. The list below corrects them.

I had missed @wanderingyp ( who had paid), Sue and a Richard.

Tonight, Lee and Cheryl have also asked to be included

We are now 43 and 8 dogs. It is a 55 seater so plenty of room

We have enough to tip the driver and there will also be enough to give everyone about £1 back, unless you would prefer that we have that to Cancer Research UK, or split Prostate Cancer research charity

I'm happy for it to go to charity Chris.
Many thanks
Lorraine

I'm happy for the charity to have my pound.

No way would I take £1 back!
Decided to leave Tilly with a dog sitter as she's a little more unpredictable in her old age since I booked her on the trip many months ago. One day old and slow, next day acting like a kid, a bit like me! One dog less on the list.

Thank you all for making it easy today!
There was £84 excess from the money collected. I tipped the driver £40. He will take car parks out of that. The remaining £44 I plan to give half each to Cancer Research (the same charity that @Wombles is giving any spare money from the rally to) and Prostate Cancer Uk ( the one @emmitdb sells book for). Please let me know if you would prefer that I return £1 to you.

We are very pleased that you have had a lovely day out on the I.O.W. and delighted to receive the £22 which has been added to the burgeoning amount I will be passing on to Prostate Cancer UK.

At the end of the Rally, and following on from the further sale of Books at the Event Shelter tomorrow morning, I will announce the Grand Total of funds received before sending it off to the Charity.

Once again, Thank you.
