LPG price increase

Bought 4.3 US gal propane/LPG at the U-Haul in San Mateo, NM last week for a PVC here in The States for a grand total of $11.21, so $2.60/gal or 53p/litre. We are in near the Permian Basin (fracking central!) so that's as low as it can go.

Topped up our Safefill cylinder at £0.85 yesterday in our local place in Glasgow.

Bottled gas is used in many more applications than the leisure industry. Retail, commercial, farming and rural domestic properties use vast quantities of the stuff.
Yes but we don’t buy it in small 7kg and 13kg bottles. My domestic supply of propane comes in a tanker and I use about 2,500 litres each year. 22 litres in a bottle or 22 litres from a pump are tiny amounts from a limited and largely seasonal leisure market.

Back in the UK, drove past the same Shell garage I mentioned in my original post - LPG now down from 129.9 p/L to 109.9/L.

Our local LPG has come down this week from £1.26 to £1.11
Still over twice the price of pre covid☹️

Morrisons Leyland, backdown to £1.09/litre...still almost twice pre-covid level!
