Which side is preferred for gpl filler for gasit tank for filling at fuel garages in Europe..?

Drivers side (uk drivers side)
Or passenger side

10 years as a filler hose .
20 years as a gas pigtail (regulator hose )
Interesting, there's no mention at all on the site I linked to about the life of the filler hose which is a concern as, like me, others will probably assume it's the same as the other hose. Why the difference?
Some suppliers are now offering thermoplastic hoses with loose fittings that the user has to make up
😱 Noooooo!!!!!! That is nuts.

We use thermoplastic hoses for longer lengths in our workshop but will not supply to retail customers.
Why is that? Assuming of course that they are fully made before supply.

Autogas 2000 do the rubber ones up to 2.5m.
We have got a few 3.0 m at the moment.
Rubber hoses are actually a faster fill than the stainless steel type 👍
We also use thermoplastic hoses for longer lengths but don’t supply them to retail customers as we don’t believe that they should be assembling high pressure liquid LPG hoses ⚠️
Yes 10 years as a filler hose for stainless steel .

This where it is at the moment, the tanks outlet comes out of the tank the other side and the long filler hose loops around on itself round the water&waste tanks then kinks into the filler, it has a split in the hose right on that bend by the filler so I’ve got to replace it.
I also want to move the filler back towards the rear wheel so it’s not so exposed.

The easiest and cheapest option is a hose direct from the tank to a new positioned filler on the other side… think that’s what I’ll do..👍🏼😎

We never use a straight connection on the hose when filling like that .
Use a 90° hose at the filler end and it keeps it much neater 👍

Higher pressure and liquid state LPG would be my guess .
Personally I would change any filler hose at 10 years, although allegedly the stainless steel hoses have an indefinite lifespan they do seem to harden over time .
We see most failures with those fitted in doors .

That makes sense as both the filler and 2nd cylinder hoses have no lifespan info. Still bad for it not to say though.

That's interesting as my system filler hose has been in use since 2009 although never in a situation where it is continually flexed such as in a door. I do inspect it when I move it from one vehicle to another though.

Water will get you wet, 240 will bite or kill, LPG can send you to the moon. Always always when dealing with hi pressure gas leave it to the experts even better any gas installation.

Never had an issue having it the same side as the fuel filler and when you think about it the Fiat diesel fill is on the near side

My local supplier has one box with dispensers either side with hoses long enough to fit either side. (in fact for a year the near side pump was dead and had to use other side) So it doesnt matter which side you park (filler nearest to pump) you can reach. Don't know how many are like that though.
