Interesting, there's no mention at all on the site I linked to about the life of the filler hose which is a concern as, like me, others will probably assume it's the same as the other hose. Why the difference?10 years as a filler hose .
20 years as a gas pigtail (regulator hose )
Noooooo!!!!!! That is nuts. Some suppliers are now offering thermoplastic hoses with loose fittings that the user has to make up
Why is that? Assuming of course that they are fully made before supply. We use thermoplastic hoses for longer lengths in our workshop but will not supply to retail customers.
We have got a few 3.0 m at the moment.Autogas 2000 do the rubber ones up to 2.5m.
We never use a straight connection on the hose when filling like that .This where it is at the moment, the tanks outlet comes out of the tank the other side and the long filler hose loops around on itself round the water&waste tanks then kinks into the filler, it has a split in the hose right on that bend by the filler so I’ve got to replace it.
I also want to move the filler back towards the rear wheel so it’s not so exposed.
The easiest and cheapest option is a hose direct from the tank to a new positioned filler on the other side… think that’s what I’ll do..

Higher pressure and liquid state LPG would be my guess .Interesting, there's no mention at all on the site I linked to about the life of the filler hose which is a concern as, like me, others will probably assume it's the same as the other hose. Why the difference?

That makes sense as both the filler and 2nd cylinder hoses have no lifespan info. Still bad for it not to say though.Higher pressure and liquid state LPG would be my guess .
That's interesting as my system filler hose has been in use since 2009 although never in a situation where it is continually flexed such as in a door. I do inspect it when I move it from one vehicle to another though.Personally I would change any filler hose at 10 years, although allegedly the stainless steel hoses have an indefinite lifespan they do seem to harden over time We see most failures with those fitted in doors .
