Hi all, hoping that somebody might be able to help with this!

We’ve taken our 2004 CI Carioca for a first weekend away and discovered a bit more about what does and doesn’t work.

The water system is one thing we wanted to test and the tank fills up fine and water comes through the taps, but quite low pressure and the tank was then empty very quickly.

On filling up again and investigating we could see when looking from the outside that when the pump and taps are on water is coming out rapidly from a pipe below the boiler, hence emptying quickly.

I read on another thread something about a blue button or red button that might stop this, but can’t find either. We do have a similar switch to the picture below next to the boiler that I wondered might be part of the problem / solution, but I wasn’t sure what I might need to do with it.

Any advice would be very much appreciated!

Thanks in advance, Chris

Flip the yellow tab 90 degrees to lay flat along the pipe.

Just remember when it freezes it will flip back up again. (y)
Read the Truma info about the boiler and heating.

It doesn't have to freeze.
Anything below around 4°c will cause it to empty.

As I posted above ..... it's manually operated, it will not open automatically at any temperature.

That is the Manual Drain Lever for the Truma Boiler. Its exactly the same as mine in our Swift PVC. (Draining using the Lever) Verticle is OPEN (Horizontal is Closed ready to accept water fill up) when leaving any sites in the cold autumn/winter months its advisable to leave it Verticle and then the taps inside the Shower/Basin/Sink.
Make sure the Pump for the Taps is off once all water is drained (Check Water Level Display)
We leave ours open then until we need to put water back in for the next trip.
You dont want any water to freeze in the water boiler or the pipework!

As has already been said, this is not an automatic drain valve lever. Lift it up manually to drain the water system in your boiler. If the water in your boiler pipe work freezes you could have big problems.
Lever UP to drain DOWN.
Lever DOWN to fill UP.
