britstops my friend...britstops....if I want to find anywhere at all even for a night on a site for summer :-/
Any suggestions other than those above ?If you have a motorhome why do you need a site for a night?
Lots of other options with less rules
Another site Ive never seen, I'll have a good search in a moment!Out & About Live

Keep hearing how busy sites are.
We just did 5 nights (should have been 7 but got there day late and left day early due to bad weather).
Pitten Cross on the Gower, it was less than half full for the 5 nights we were there. On our drive about's in the hire car we called in three other sites to see what they looked like in case we were to go to that area also. All three had plenty of sites available (we asked at reception).
Just booked a site for 3 nights with EHU in Shropshire in 2 weeks time.
So find it strange people are having difficulty finding places to book.
We’re in Norfolk. We’ve easily booked a week on two different CLs. We feel being members of the C&MHC is well worth it for the CLs and their insurance.
The CL we’re on now is lovely. It’s a farm site with glorious views across the countryside. With only five pitches, it’s really quiet.
God no.Trust me.......... Down South all the laid back... no singing no dancing sites we have tried are booked solid in Devon/Dorset...
Your Haven type screaming kids and rowdy sites might have vacancies if that is what you want..
Currently at Longbeach, New Forest. There is lots of space, I have never seen it this quiet before. No facilities or electric hookups could be putting the new wave campers off.
Only £12 a night here at Woodside Field and yes we have some availability even a few spaces available at next weeks rally, but be quick.
ALMOST anywhere. I say that but I guess anywhere within 2-3 hours of Bedfordshire according to google. So that is essentially pretty much all of East Anglia, stretching over to Bath direction, then up to the bottom of the Peak District and down to Brighton / New forest? What area are you looking in? we are in Southampton and because of family commitments book within an hour's travel. I found the odd site full but have never had to make more that 3 calls to find a site. Mrs. Ex still works Monday and Friday mornings so we go for 3 nights Monday to Thursday I have just booked 3 trips within the last week
Devon, Cornwall (yes I know, what else can I expect), various just north of the M4 corridor, a couple in Wales.
These were club sites, not CL’s. And for short breaks we try to stay within a 2 hour radius.
No problem getting into CL’s (prefer them anyway)
Weekdays are usually quieter than weekends if your domestic arrangements allow this.
One more short trip to CL planned before going into hiding for remainder of July and August

Is that a specific late bookings site then that the C&MC have? We're on a CL in E. Sussex with only one other pitch in use - last night there were 2 others. Last week on the C&MC late bookings site half of the sites I looked at had space at the weekend, as well as midweek.
Last night a roe deer ambled past and saw this little fella just up the road.Oh, now that could be a goer, just checked and they have availability at a good price!
Its a “tab” on the main siteIs that a specific late bookings site then that the C&MC have?
yeah, Some do some dontAlready a member, but cant get the dogs, chairs and bbq out as it's poor form.
You really don't know how great a decision that is.Oh, didn't realise realise we have a FUN site so to speak, sadly don't have the shifts to get to the rally, but had a look on your website and it looks lovely! You're on my list as it sounds idyllic!
I've always found the search facility on UK Campsite really usefulThanks all, I apologise for the late night and ambiguous post lol.
So, I've spent hours looking for somewhere for next weekend for me and the Mrs and want to take the dogs this time to see how they like it and how we like them with us lol.
So, already have searchforsites, parkfornights and the new version of the wildcamping one that was on moonfruit. Oh and Britstops.
But this time I plan on using the chairs and BBQ we spent £500ish on before going to Scotland in June and not even using them LOL.
So, I'd happily wild / off grid but don't want to be that guy that then treats a pub / car park as a site if you see what I mean.
As for pitchup, I've never come across that site I have to admit and there do seem to be some sites going but they seem stupidly expensive, are pitchup a sort of site "broker" taking a cut?
Any suggestions other than those above ?
Another site Ive never seen, I'll have a good search in a moment!
Strange but true sadly. Even just tried Pitten Cross as never heard of it and can't get a booking so ........
Aye and this is why Im thinking I'll have to join one of these organisations to get access to more pitches, though need to do some research to see which may be better for us.
The C&MHC have more of the small sites. We joined both clubs to start with but only used one site in the C&CC in a year. Thanks all, I apologise for the late night and ambiguous post lol.

Yep that's one of my go to ones, they use a new version now but there's a button to redirect.Just found another site for you https://www.wildcamping-moonfruit.com/
What rules are those that you don't like then?If you have a motorhome why do you need a site for a night?

Broomfield Farm Caravan Club Site which is between Royal Tunbridge Wells and Eastbourne. No idea if it has much to do around there but she wanted somewhere within easy distance of a beach |
