Hi I am looking to buy and test drove my 1st motor home, a Bessacar412 3 years old low mileage. I expected some driving noise but I thought the cabin noise, particularly the doors was excessive and quite draining on a short drive. No way I could live with that. As a newbie with no experience is this the norm? I was very surprised that for the cost the noise insulation seemed so low. Ta

As mentioned above, window blinds are often noisy but can be improved with carefully placed rubber. I found bits, from an old bike inner tube made a big difference. There are so many things that can rattle and buzz it's often hard to tell where it's coming from, a buzzing from the casing for our TV between the cab seats took a while to locate. I also use the adhesive plastic pads to stop cupboard door rattles etc.

Our first Motorhome was a Swift ( who make Bessacarr) and I used to round the van fitting little rubber wedges everywhere before each trip.
Roof lights, door frame and just about everything rattled.

our first was an entry level swift and apart from the hob (tea towel under lid) and grill pan, (also wrapped in a towel) don't remember any rattles, although hinges etc had screws checked every so often. thing that made most noise was probably me ;)

Our previous van was a C class and now we have an A class, lot quieter but still have to sort rattles from the stuff we carry, grip-mat between plates bowls & mugs, round bottles and one on the grill pan so kettle sits quietly in oven!
Tea towel under hob lid, oven gloves in a cupboard wedging stuff and a towel on top of the cutlery in drawer!
Rearrange fridge so there are no loose cannons in there!

All good tips. I also put rubber bands round jars and cans.

TL;DR but on our test drive there was more noise than I’d expect.
The reason was because for display purposes there was no tea trowels stopping loose metal on metal rattles.
I’ll read the thread properly later but for now I’m just sharing my experience.
I didn’t have door noises so you could have more to query with your dealer than tea towel fixes ?
