Locks for Motorhome Garage / Storage

it's mainly for going through France.

Where in France are you planning on going? We moved here from rural Lincolnshire and feel much safer. Unless you're going to leave your MoHo in a high crime area or on a motorway aire, it's probably going to be much safer than it would be in the UK :)

We use milenco on both garage doors.

I have locks on all my doors and additional Fiamma dead lock things.
so all is covered plus the hab door has a locking handrail.

windows have a security fitting to all windows .
and the underside has a layer of waxoil on it.

Could I see a pic of your locking handrail, please, or a link to one? It sounds interesting but I have no idea what one is!!

It annoys me that when you pay thousands of pounds on the Motorhome , that manufactures can’t fit decent locks and theft prevention devices on their products in the first place.

Years ago an “old timer” (probably younger than me now), recommended a cheap dog bowl along with the largest dog chain I could find, attached to the step when parked. Very cheap to do. I also added a “dangerous dog” yellow triangle in a side window.
Downside was when we returned to the ferry in France, about to board, we were stopped by customs who went right through the ‘van looking for the large dog we hadn’t got! It took some explaining, but I was quite pleased the “security measures” had worked on him, at least!
