Liverpool Parking for 8.8m Motorhome (4 Viewers)

I'm planning on visiting Liverpool soon and wondering if there is anywhere to park for the day. The marina is limited to 7.5m so I plan to stay in a campsite outside the city. Any recommendation for campsites in the are would also be helpful.

Check on search for sites, sure I read they now allow parking on the docks, also overnight if you need it. No facilities.
We stayed on Albert docks a few years ago, they stopped it for a while but have heard it's allowed again .

You could always take new Brighton in while there, and get the train in under the Mersey, new Brighton prom front is is nice and will be other motorhomers there

You have to pay in the office of the multi storey car park opposite. I think it's about £16 a day. There are no facilities though.

We haven't stayed there but checked it out last time we were up there visiting family.

Southport, think there are two sites there? Not been as it's about 40mins away! is a good bet. Train straight into Liverpool Central Station. Have you been to Liverpool before? You'll love it....

I was looking at the CAMC site. Where/how far is the train station in Southport in relation to the site. First time to visit Liverpool.

yes but they have started charging for the overnight parking now all along the prom, from 10pm, pay by phone £15.00 i think see here

When we go over to Liverpool (which is often - but admittedly in the car), we always park in the open air car park on Kings Dock road, I see no reason why you can't park a motorhome there as there's no height barrier, (pay machine is finicky so double check time you want to pay for), it's usually £5 for the day

Southport CMC site is around a 15-20 min walk either to Southport station or Birkdale station which is the closer of the two.

You can catch a bus from CAMC site at Southport, park and ride £2(?) that will drop you in Lord Street.
From there a short walk to the station for the train in to Liverpool.
Or leave the MoHo at home and go by car or train.

Done that. Lots of stops but easy ride.

you can park in New Brighton all day, but now you have to pay £20 after 8pm for a nights stay, so you don't see any Motorhomers there anymore, it was a bad decision for the person in the council who had the light bulb moment to charge people for an overnight stay. (the dips as it is known locally) is now as desolate as the Pennine moor, the local shops and restaurants will also miss the trade that the Motorhomers brought with them
