Due to popular demand, we are doing a repeat meet at

LINTON LOCK MARINA & CAMP SITE

AT

LINTON ON OUSE, YORK

13 - 15 AUGUST 2010



There is a field for 15 vans (may be more) with 10 amp hook up, water tap. There are toilets and a shower block on site too.

The site also hosts a LICENSED CAFE as follows:

9 am - 11am Serving breakfasts
12 noon - 5pm Light snacks
5pm - 8pm Evening Meals
and
9am - 12 midnight Friday for licensed drinks
9am - 1am Saturday for licensed drinks

Fees are as follows:

£15.00 per night plus £1 per night for hook up.


No extra for children

Dogs are welcome and there are 2 fields available where you can let them off the lead for a run and do their usual ablutions - however their mess must be collected AND put in one of the 2 bins provided.

FISHING
The site is situated on a working Lock on the river Ouse which in the summer months has a constant flow of passing boats of various shapes and sizes going through the Lock, so there is always something to see for all the family.The Weir and salmon leap are also a big attraction with visitors.

The site is fortunate to be able to boast some of the best coarse fishing in the country. The River Ouse is home to several varieties of fish including Pike, Chubb, Bream and even the occasional Brown Trout has been spotted!

Ok so now that I have got you all excited, here's what you need to do:

Click on the link below and make your booking. Please ensure you put in the message box that you are coming on the Motorhomefun meet on 13-15 August . Please also ensure you give the size of your motorhome, this will then enable the site owner to shuffle you around and hopefully get more vans in the site if possible (There are 17 hook up points in this field but he says the size of the motorhomes will depict just how many can get on)

I'm sure the owner will come back eventually - but if he doesn't let me know and I will contact him direct and give him a b******ing

Hi Dave - sorry for not answering sooner, I've been getting the van packed for tomorrow.

depends tony.....remember the floating jetty posts with the high tide mark.

if it rains hard its quay rent....if it doesnt then its a pitch fee....

I'm very sorry we can't, in fact I was organising daught to come as well then you chose the week of their village fete and we'd already said we'd go and watch here compete with a pot of jam or something.

Think of me trying to console daughter if her jam fails.

hi all cant make this one as big clash with western motorhome show and did not realise we have booked to go on this one so sorry all hope the great time and weather holds out had a great time last year but by a vote with family WMS came out top
