Afternoon,,,

well after 2 shortish days we are at the building stage,, had to dig down 750/800 ml deepjust to surpass the house foundations,, but all good,, footing built this morning, oversite prepared and completed!

tomorrow I have some prep to do, fix starter bars to existing walls, slice a cavity for dpc, vertical, and then I can lay a few bricks and blocks!

hope all are ok, at least it’s not raining,,,,, yet!!

Did the crap today, cutting out for continuous cavity, and the doorway, but only the outside skin of bwk , and fixed wall starter bars, with dos both ends!

finally laying bricks and blocks tomorrow,, the easy part of the job!

well what with the rain in the afternoons this week, I have done 5 half days,,, this how far I have got!!! Nothing spectacular, but happy enough in 2 1/2 full days! Horrid bricks,, tudors, chipped, and hard to lay making a decent job! Such is life!!

Good morning,,,

not much to report really, weather this week has been against us, but the roof is on and temp felted, doorway to hall out, lintels in, electrics being done Friday, as is plumbing,,

today I have to build the gables, only small but horrid building in the rain,,

plasterboarding and internals to be done on sat / mon and hopefully drains done by wed and finish before my big job kicks off on the 20 th!

raining again now and all day apparently, so it’s gonna be miserable, only ray of sunshine will be my steaming hot cups of Yorkshire tea!!

Good morning,,,

sorry I’ve been busy,, finished the little job on Tuesday, and then on wed I relaid a few slabs for an old girl up the road from there , who has a problem with her sight,, lovely old girl,, favour job, but no. The less rewarding!!

Been over to the new extension I start on Monday, organised a lot over the phone,, digger, dumper, muck away, building inspector, been to brick merchant and got a close match to the existing house!
The customer, Richard has a very good camera, and enjoys taking photos, so he’s offered to do a day to day pic album for my Facebook page, should be interesting!!

so I’m going to take my neighbour shopping this morning, and I shall also get a load for myself,, then I have been asked to re hang a couple of curtain poles that have come loose, for another neighbour,, so that’s gonna be my morning,,,,,chill out the weekend, then get a good early start on Monday,,,, so that’s it,,, Not much else to report,,

Skips, plant etc extra.
Plumbing, electrics included.
Not expensive bathroom suites, kitchens etc.
