Lidl Formil Bio?

New van with new toilet cassette so I wanted to try not using the usual chemical toilet fluids. I've seen on here that some folk use Lidl Formil Bio. My question is which one of the three possibilities below (bio, bio concentrated or sachets) do folk, use and how much? Also any other option Many thanks in advance.

I use Lidl (or Aldi) Bio Liquids.

Why buy the expensive specific product when you throw it away after a couple,
say three days, before it's had a chance to work.

as in biological? so you just drop it into the toilet bowl to land in the cassette?

Yes. The bio eats 'dirt,' (and other stuff that looks like dirt but doesn't smell like dirt???)

I've been using washing liquid or even soda crystals for years. Normally empty every other day(depending on alcohol consumption) .
Just seen this product and wondered if anyone here has used it and how it compared to other products?
On their website its £22.50 for 4 x 25ltr tubs delivered with a coupon discount off!
Apparently you add approx. 200ml to the cassette.

We have a septic tank at home, which we are careful not to send chemicals into. As we empty the cassette at home we use Sainsbury's plant based bio laundry liquid. It's also much kinder to the septic tanks found on many rural CS/CL CAMPRA sites. It's works very well for us!

The product you show contains enzymes so, perhaps, should not go into your Septic Tank but should be okay for a Cesspit.

If put into a Septic tank, it could kill off the little friendly bugs that digests the waste.
Once killed, it has to be reseeded with others or it will not work correctly.

I'm sure a few months ago on here I saw a recommendation for Aldi / Lidl bio dishwasher tabs or opposed to laundry tabs. I have an aversion to anything Lidl anyway, but our local shop didn't have any bio stuff anyway.

I get these from Intermarché and use them in the dishwasher at home, where we have a fosse "toutes eaux". They work really well in the van cassette too, which invariably goes down the manhole into the fosse when we get home.

We also regularly add this enzyme based product to the fosse which gives a boost to the efficiency of the little bacteria.

For over twenty years I have been using Tesco or Sainsbury cheapest bio washing powder. We only empty every 5 days and it is almost pleasant to empty with no smell and everything totally liquified. We also had a Septic Tank in France for most of those years and never had a problem with it after emptying our cassette into it. I must also add that we only ever use 4 ply softest Lidl loo paper and do in no way limit the quantity we use. Two coffee scoops of powder to the cassette after empty does the trick With a little water after cleaning the bowl with it. One large pack will last about 6 months. Forget all these expensive alternatives.

Now then. Having been around probably every brand of superstore looking for bio washing liquid, I have now reached the point where I’m giving up motor homing. Nothing in any isle says bio on it. Clearly the French either have nothing but, or a secret code. Is this it???

Same here re the fluid Phil.

I did try the satches, but they take ages to dissolve unless adding warm water. I prefer the washing powder tablets, but struggle to find them these days.

I use Dr Beckmanns Non-Bio Laundry Sheets. They won't break everything down but then nothing will, unless you leave it for days on end. They smell lovely, take up very little room and dissolve easily and thoroughly in water

I’ve given up using proprietary fluid. Bio works just great, cheaper, better smell, works effectively, what’s not to like.
By the way, we have just spent a month in Ireland doing the Wild Atlantic way. Truly awesome and the Irish are super friendly.. To be sure

We use Aldi Bio liquid, seems to be a bit thicker than the Lidl stuff equivalent. Whether that makes any difference I don’t know.
