Lenny's on the Road again

At €63 a night ill give it a miss.
No chance mate, in past years the CCC European Travel Service ran a month long rally during all of September. The rally was well established over many years and the German owners of the site give us the quiet end with larger pitches next to the amenities 20 euros pupn. 🍷🍷🍷

Nice car park at L' Escala.

There's a relatively new aire that's opened just down the road in L'Estartit (called Costa Brava Area) which may be worth looking at.
Not sure how busy the town will be at this time of year though.

Town of L'Estartit will be virtually closed now. The Aire was a bit rough around the edges last year, electric posts failed on two pitches I tried, though the warden just plugged us into the next one along later in the evening! Check in is automated and quite easy - though not cheap as I recall. L'Estartit is one of my fav places though.

At least you are giving Mr Wallet a bit of a rest parking there. If you walk to your right there are some Roman ruins about 500 yards but you do have to pay to get in! (Sorry I’ll wash my mouth out)

Thanks Ian
My family usually stay on L’Emporda and I was going to stay on La Sirena this year until Covid hit. They mentioned this aire so I’m glad to speak with someone who has been. I think I’ll stick with La Sirena then

La Serina usually closes early October, was closed when we Arrived end Sept last year, but may have been because of coved, hence the Aire.

I think I'm in FLT heaven, nice parking spot, 50yds through the little forest to the beach, topless girls on the beach, Roman & Greek ruins next door, beach bars, good cycle path, 10 min walk to very small walled hamlet with loads of restaurants & a Lidl 5min walk away.

I blinked and thought I'd woken up in Thailand.

Yesterday afternoon I blew up the paddleboard but by the time I'd got to the beach a breeze was getting up & it was getting choppy so I abandoned that idea and thought I'll get down there in the morning before the wind gets up.
How wrong, blowing a force 6 all day & waves crashing in:cry:

I've had to put up with looking at old rocks.

The Greek ruins of Empuries.
