Lenny's on a Short Winter Break

Thanks for another excellent thread.

One thing I feel I should comment on is that on nearly all the food porn pictures you post, we can inevitably see Mi's lap and lower arms waiting patiently while you do your David Bailey stuff.
Do you keep her champing at the bit for ages every mealtime and doesn't she tell you to get on with it :giggle: :giggle: :giggle: :tounge:

Thanks again
Margaret & Barry

We are halfway between Narbonne and Carcassonne. When are you heading back? You could stop at ours and we could go to Le Citie in the car. I will message you coordinates. We didn't go to Portugal this year while Judy was still recovering from the strokes and having frequent medical checks, but she is almost signed off now so three months in Scandinavia from end of April.
just had this through which would be relevant regarding plans to Scandinavia from April:
Coronavirus / COVID-19 has really taken hold in Denmark, and parts of the country are closing down more or less. However, you can still get hold of BroBizz. We stand ready in customer service and do our best to help you answer your questions. You can contact us during normal business hours, which are Monday-Thursday 8: 30-16: 00 and Friday 8: 30-15: 30.

BroBizz follows the authorities' guidelines
We do what we can to help reduce the risk of coronavirus infection among our colleagues and in the community. That is why we have fewer people in customer service in the next few weeks and we have sent those of our colleagues home who can take care of their jobs from home. We hope for your understanding if you experience extra waiting time.

We encourage you to look for answers on our help pages, which you can find at BroBizz.com. You can also send us an email at customer service@brobizz.com.

Take good care of each other during this time!

Thanks for that, we have decided to postpone our trip, unfortunately we will now lose the cost of our tickets to the UK which was planned on the way to take in the now cancelled London Marathon which our son was to be running. Perhaps we can go a bit later but not too late to need snow chains! Just stocked up with three gallons of local wine to help with the self confinement. For mouth sterilisation purposes only of course. :-))

Thank you Lenny for sharing your trip, it was great to follow and gain information along the way. Have followed a couple and will continue to do so.
That goes for everyone that’s has taken the time to share their journeys, a great inspiration to a me and I’m sure many others.

Tonight's stop outside the Marie in a little village of Faverolles
Hi Lenny can you tell me what the Marie is. I googled it in translate and it says marry or le marie is the groom! I'm trying to be a sponge to soak up all things motorhoming in France and I've seen the Marie mentioned several times on the forum. ;)

Its The Local Mayors Office in France, handy place to get advice sometimes.

To add even further scope for confusion, the mayor's offices are sometimes called the Hôtel de Ville and you may see this written above the door. Just don't knock on the door asking for a room. :)

I think the confusion may be arising, partly from misspelling.
Le mari = husband
La mairie =town hall/town council (or 'mayor's office' if you're American)
L'hotel de ville = the town hall building.

All made fresh, just use the trays for convenience, take up less space and often use them 3 or 4 times before throwing and they are only about 20p each. Also when we occasionally have a ready meal use the trays from them. Got to keep up the FLT status.

Hey Lenny, have you thought of cutting out, making your own Jeton tokens from the scrap aluminium trays?
Just a thoughtx:-)

Yes!!
I well remember saying to the duchess many years ago “ There’s lots of Hotel de Ville” in this part of France “. Knowing my lack of language skills she was very forgiving!

And our son mentioned one day that there were a lot of villages called Rappel !!!!!!!! :xrofl: :ROFLMAO:

Its in the family!

Just out of interest , is there a use by date on all these jetons I've got or can I get my money back , spec Lenny will know !!
half price if anyone's interested cheaper by the dozen .

You can't miss them as they always have flags flying outside, and if the village doesn't have an official Aire it's an old French law that motorhomes can park outside the Maire .
Don't know if it still works now.

Richard.
Easier to find the free ones. :xlaugh:

Previous trip we were in a village, went in the tourist office while the boss was browsing I asked where we could park. Answer was you can stay here or there is another area just over there. The French like visitors in Motorhomes a bit different to over here.

I'm attempting to learn some French which I'm sure will be appreciated but you've just added another layer to confuse me :giggler:
