Well almost it was Mini Hollywood, 4km down the road from Fort Bravo.
That's what Motorhoming is all about, sod the planning, go with the flow.Very Nice Lenny.
We are probably going to head down that way next week.
We arrive Santander Sat 14th, then it looks like:
Elephant aire
Segovia
Aranjuez
then Mojacar way I think
We will probably wait until our first night to decide on the route (will be checking out the weather, which seems to be improving).
Will start our own thread, once we get going with some requests for stop overs etc.
But your thread is giving me some ideas, so Thanks
There is more to life than one euro bars you know, not much I'll grant you.Great to be with you Lenny, hope the rest of your journey is a safe and memorable one.

Yes, get the ferry tomorrow, arriving Santander on Monday. Shipping forecast suggests it could be a bumpy crossing.Yep you are right, edited. Been caught on that one before.
Are you on your way down?
Edit:
Just rembered you where pruning the doggy ready for your trip.
How do you find them? Any tips to share? We are pretty useless all told at finding interesting places to visit. We usually discover "must see" places after we get 100+ miles away and someone tells us & that we must have just sailed our way past.....and Mi sorts out interesting places on the way....
Mi scans through the guide books (we clear the library shelf's before we go) & searching online, she has a knack of finding them. How do you find them? Any tips to share? Better pack plenty of warm clothes, hottest days we have had in the last 5 weeks has been a couple at 26/27°, this last week has been freezing hasn't got above 18°.Yes, get the ferry tomorrow, arriving Santander on Monday. Shipping forecast suggests it could be a bumpy crossing.
Then south, swerving around Madrid. La Mancha area is on the list but I also want to visit Extramadura for the birds but the Spaniards have put it a bit too far west so it will either be a big detour on the way down or we will visit on the way back. Weather will decide I think. If it's cold we will keep heading south.
Thanks Lenny.... Sounds like we need a trip to the library then, coz we're rubbish with the internet searches . Even TripAdvisor tells us nothingMi scans through the guide books (we clear the library shelf's before we go) & searching online, she has a knack of finding them.
The windmills we passed on our last trip though Spain didn't have time to stop so we found the info on them.
The forecast suggests things may be changing. But given our abilities to bring rain where it hasn't fallen for years who knows?Better pack plenty of warm clothes, hottest days we have had in the last 5 weeks has been a couple at 26/27°, this last week has been freezing hasn't got above 18°.
