Leaving our MH outside for a month - What to do, please?

I haven't seen anything like that in our MH. I have no idea where the boiler is :X3:
On the outside of the van you will have one of these, it's the size of your hand.

It may be black, white or silver.
It's the Truma boiler exhaust cowl.

Your boiler will be on the other side.

Hi everyone :)

We'll be away from around 18th December to around 20th January, leaving our MH outside at home. What should I do before we go, please? The boiler empties itself if it gets too cold. Should we remove the cab battery? I'm only asking this as something seems to be draining it, even though we have B2B and LiFePO4 battery on solar. I know I need to empty the water tanks and the toilet cassette and leave the cupboards and fridge/freezer open. Is there anything else, please?

Thank you :)
what is your address, asking for a friend :)

I'm not sure how to do it manually

Your previous owner told you how to drain down the boiler. This is your post from November 2021:

Hi everyone :) I recently posted to ask how to drain the boiler in my Benimar Europe 740. After receiving lots of helpful replies but being unable to locate the boiler, I emailed the previous (French) owner and received this reply;

"As for the cold nights and the water heater, no worries either: the safety system is automatic: It empties itself when the outside temperature is less than 5°C. The only condition is that the battery of the camping car is not empty for the thermostat to work.
You can also do it manually, this is what I advise you at least once a year: You open the tap on the hot water side and the pump, until there is no water at all, then on the cold water side also until the tank is empty, then you leave the taps open but above all you turn off the pump. This will protect the entire water system. You cannot reach the water heater, you must empty it by tap, starting with hot water (even if it is not in operation, this will empty it completely)."

I'm posting this in case anyone needs this information in the future :)

As others have said, water goes stale quite quickly, so whenever you drain down your fresh water tank, drain down the boiler as well.

The point about the automatic drain down is fine, except that it relies on battery power. If your battery drains itself whilst you are away, for whatever reason, the automatic drain down will not happen.

We honestly don't have anything like that. It's a Webasto, too, not Truma.

OMG, thank you SO much!!!!! This is what happens when your brain doesn't work properly!! Thank you for finding this and reminding me. I'm extremely grateful!! I'll print this out and put it with all the MH stuff. Thank you so much x

I can't believe anyone has owned a motorhome longer than a week and doesn't know where everything is . Especially the boiler etc .

If you wish, I could be with you within a reasonable timescale to help you with any problems you may have. I think you are about an hour away from me, perhaps 90 minutes.
