OK - we've taken on board all your comments (thank you all so much ) and have made the decision to put the MH on EHU via a timer which will come on for a few hours each day. We also have solar so between the two it should keep the MH batteries nicely topped up. I don't think we will leave any heating on - my take on this is that MHs stand on dealer forecourts for months without heating to no detriment. We have a rodent repeller installed and I've scattered tumble dryer sheets everywhere, so hopefully when we get back next year our MH will be intact and rodent free. Will obviously post if this is not the case. We will also be following the advice in Jim's 'Winterising your MH' list.
