Brilliant .. busy time ahead for you .... :) but where are all the others? I have about another 100 still here waitkng to go.

Have you got the large amount from icantremember yet?

Not yet, I think I am collecting them at one of the meets over the next three weekends :) I need to ensure that the netting we have been promised has been ordered, a bit difficult as it will be a gift but I may just order some myself as it is always useful.

Love these little fairy doors and especially this individually 'crafted' one I saw today .. love them in the garden ..

Putting fairy and elf houses / doors around the local walks is one of the other projects we have in mind.

Yesterday was the funeral for one of our close friends and neighbours, he was a stalwart of the garden group and is already very much missed. Once things have settled to a new normality without him we will consult with his partner and wider family as to a fitting memorial for him. The funeral was very moving as the minister is also a neighbour so knew us all really well and some of the memories we shared were quite bizarre. Like one lady who said she looked out of her window and saw a greenhouse apparently making its own way down the middle of the road. On investigation it was Alister and Martin carrying the greenhouse frame from where it had been discarded!!! They put it into Alister's garden ....... his partner was told she could use his old greenhouse, he was having the new one and it was a competition for who had the best. I am not saying who won but Alister came second :)

Hi Kate .. I'm wondering how to get mine to Scotland too ... I need to get some poppy wool to Cornwall also. I gave a lot to Brian and Joyce but have loads more since.

Am struggling as not getting to lots of meets now with all that going on at home.

Please don't think I've forgotten you all. :(

I am loving the fairy door idea .. imagine Amanda finding them when out walking. If there is an easy way to make the door I would like to do that like the leaving stones .. (of which I have left some around already).

That’s a random thread hijack if ever there was

No, next Wednesday, can I do something for you then? Could pop over on Monday if that helps going to Stoke in afternoon (y)

Not sure David .. when is Millport and are you going?

I was thinking I could pop to Wigan and drop bag of poppies off for Puddleduck with you to give her at Millport .. but I think I've got dates muxed ip.

Just read further back up the thread

Get it now, where have they got to get to or who?

Unless you have knitted them in chain mail they wouldn’t cost too much to post :)

But happy to help if I can or pay the postage if less than my fuel to pick them up

Thanks David ... no not needed .. I just thought if you passing before Scotland ..

The last big batch I sent by post was only 75p but I think they made a mistake as someone said it cost them nearly £4 for a much smaller amount. .. plus the balls of wool I am sending out are pretty expensive.

Just dashing off now so will pop in post office to check ..(y) .. please don't worry. :)

Internet connection is rubbish ...... the messages are jumbled or posted multiple times!

As I was trying to post.....

we are in Millport, Dumfries and then Kelso the next few weekends. After that it is a trip to Derby via Durham in July and then to Dover down the east coast on the way to Italy if that would help anyone with poppy collection?

I am planning to do most of the poppy attachment to the backing fabric when we are away in Italy so all I have to do (!!!) is the final adjustments when we get home in late October.

All my reserve wool is safely stashed in the motorhome under the bed slats and between the garage roof. There's a lot of space for more yet ......

My works in progress are in a bag which will not be stashed out of sight!
