Since 2016 and caravanning before that
For some odd reason I've booked a tunnel crossing which gets us in at midnight. Not being a huge fan of driving at night I wondered if anyone has experience of the above Aire? Is it reasonably easy to find? Are there likely to be spaces arriving at that time? And is it safe, particularly with regard to migrants?
Thanks in advance

Easy to find, it's big, never seen if full, safe as any other aire .. used it several times no problems.. never saw any migrants lingering about ... it's about ten minutes from the tunnel ..

It has a barrier entry that uses credit card only

The aire is part of the campsite next door ..

Yes, thank you
Shout out loudly before you depart * We are going SOUTH* all ashore who's going ashore! Not used it but did use the old aire at the end of Rue Winston Churchill with no problems just a quick look before you depart. The aire is at the other end of the parade of shops/flats to the old aire so easy to get to

Also like this aire, would add there is room for a lot more than 8 vans

Getting Better
I’ve used the air at Calais and I think it’s great… spent a few days there a couple of months ago and never saw an immigrant despite looking for them….

The aire at Calais will have plenty of space and easy to find. Not seen any migrants around there at all recently however they are now back at Cite de Europe in force.
