2008 low profile coachbuilt worth £27000 on a good day.
Been with AIB for 4 years up to now, with them always being competitive.
Most premiums around the £275-£325 range.

The best they could do this time was £422 with Aegis.
Comfort £407
CAMC £315 (no breakdown)
Safeguard £536(including EU breakdown)
Moneysupermarket , circa £300 plus , without breakdown.

So, struggling a bit this year.

I've gone with RIPE at £326 (using the Forum link) , which incudes UK breakdown (not going abroad this year) , protected NCB , legal cover.
The protected NCB was quite expensive (about £35) and a bit of a knee jerk at the time.
Yes, there are some fine restrictions, as others have mentioned. Like the one where you cannot leave your motorhome unattended for more than 48hrs if it's away from where it's normally kept etc.
Hoping none of these become a real issue.
I've yet to see if they give me some hassle over the proof of NCB etc.

So al in all I've managed to keep this years renewal in the zone.
Thanks JIM(y)

Has anyone been messed about with by Admiral insurance lately ? I am due up on my multicover for House, Motorhome and Car they delayed me getting renewal quotation until 21st day was up. I then got the renewal premium with an initial 40% hike which they dropped after I told them I had already been looking around to a 20% hike. Now I cannot log into my account as 2 separate computers are coming up with "web site currently down". I have just phoned them again and now the "thinking of leaving operator" tells me due to changes made yesterday she cannot review premium further until changes take effect in 4 days time. I advised her if she is unable to help me in next 24hrs I will be renewing elsewhere. Be warned these may be new delaying tactics to roll past the 21 day New policy price window

Not Admiral but got an email this morning from Hastings Direct advising they were unable to renew my car insurance on 1st March.

Strange to say the least as I have been with them for 3 years and have made no claims.

Got a load of guff about car repairs being more expensive and possibly more thefts in the area which is a good one, as I'm changing my motorhome policy from CASSOA Gold storage to storage on the house drive and there is no increase in premium from Comfort!!

They just seem to continue to make up the rules to suit themselves, but then.....no change there.
