Newbie - bought first MH 11/03/2023
Looking at an AWD Crafter based TREK conversion - but shocked by the modest 75 litre fuel tank.

So far I can’t find any trace of an aftermarket large tank via web searching.

Can anyone suggest where to go looking for custom aftermarket diesel tanks?

Many thanks,
Peter.

Try searching for sprinter tank, think their the same chassis, I have a 2018 sprinter 4x4 grand canyon and I think it has 100lt fuel tank.

Not sure if it's the same for VW conversions. But some Ducato based vans have tanks with a smaller capacity, purely so they can keep the van in the 3.5t limit. In reality, the tank is the same, but with a longer filler neck so the pump stops well before the tank is full.

Maybe contact the below firm.....they'll no doubt do an updated version for all those eastern european van drivers who do 100k a year
Have to do some miles to make that pay

not long enough
We only get 20mpg in our heavy and old sprinter based Hymer

We only have a 70 litre tank but get over 300 miles, is this really a problem 🤔

30mpg now being more typical would give 500 miles between fills 👍

Just so everybody knows, if you have a 60 liter fuel tank on a Fiat chassis, the actual fuel tank is 90 liters and it has a small pipe modification on the breather end of the assembly from benimar to only allow filling to 60, this can be removed easily and take advantage of the full tank.

Given the styling how about a couple of jerrycans sprayed to match? It's a lot of dosh to get a bigger tank ( although to be fair it's a lot of dosh anyway!)
