Possibly of interest to those who have a smattering of Spanish and who are willing to risk it. I recently joined a group called MIXXER accessed through language-exchanges.org . It puts you in touch with Spanish speaking people who wish to speak English. I am now having limited Spanish conversations with 2 native Spanish speakers and although anxiety provoking initially is now becoming more and more of a pleasure and, I find, a wonderful way to learn Spanish and help others with their English. Also it's totally free. If you really want to progress a bit go for it. You won't regret it.

I am on day 635 with Duolingo. You will have to help me get motivated again. I think my problem is that I've no spanish holidays booked yet. Have you watched the prison series vis a vis locked up? You'll find it on tv channel " All 4"

I have the full set of Michel Thomas CDs, if you want a copy send me a USB and i can return it to you. Maybe I will start listening to him in the car again. His style of teaching his repetitive but it does help it sink in.

Thanks, just saw this. I have a spanish friend but I would like to chat with speakers from Spain. I think EuroTrotters is giving me a well needed push.
