Timsons are brilliant, I've had spare hab keys cut by them for several campers

On one occasion they didn't have the correct blanks so I bought them on ebay and took them in to timpson . The guy cut them for me and refused to charge me .

Can't get service like that in many places

I had a door lock which Timpsons and a couple of others couldn't find a blank key for.

Eventually got it done by a 'proper' locksmith who had a machine that scanned your key and milled out a new one from a billet rather than a blank.

It had more of the 'sharp' edges than a normal new key does and as a result took a little bit of fine tuning with a file to get it to work (helpful to have the vehicle with you when picking up)

It cost a lot more than a standard blank would but it did also need a specialist tool and more time from the locksmith.

So, don't give up hope, it is possible - you just need to find someone with the right kit.

I got a rather obscure key cut from a company on Ebay. Took a few photos close up and showing the lettering on the key that i could see. 3 Days later a perfect key arrived and it worked like it was the original.

Looks like the JMA IMS-7 is the same as the im2 and perhaps a few others?

The top is different, but the actual key part of it does look like it might be a match.

Might be more readily available?

(might not be correct! :D)

I did try Timpsons but unfortunately they didnt have it, will try to get hold of a blank.
There's someone selling a key on ebay but its already been cut...what would be the point of selling that?!

In the past i got one cut when abroad but had to try about 15 different places before I found one and even then it was about 20-25 euros!

Tie it round your neck with a big string! Any decent locksmith should be able to make one for you

eBay is probably your best bet for a blank. Otherwise an old fashioned cobbler or hardware place who does keys might have a stock of old blanks

Can you share the link bud
I went to kenmore caravans (service section), I cannot remember how many I bought as a set, but had to by an additional one with same key number on there eBay site. My new set has a swift logo on them didn’t bother me. If you give them your key number they may be able to match or complete new set.

I tried a local key cutter (ex Timpsons) but he didn't have the blanks. He said if I got a blank on line he'd cut it. Tried "Mr keys" who has a van parked outside local B&Q, had a blank & cut it for £6. Same guy also did me a key for a Halford steering wheel lock a few years ago. I'd tried Halfords giving them the key number but they couldn't get one.
