Hi Having owned 2 Kalkoff agatus, one ladies one gents. My advise would be to steer clear, 3 motors on the gents in 2 1/2 years,1 new motor on the ladies. 50 cycles all very nice when selling, different story when things go wrong, lots of arguments over replacements who pays. We now have 2 Cubes, outstanding performance, boshe motors, you can have what tires you like on a bike, we have the knobbly ones you dont like, and do mostly road cycling, but its nice to go down tracks.
Kalkhoff or R&M bike? Advice required please.

@Tinker2 sorry to hear you had problems like that, I've had two Agattus, actually got one up for sale at mo and I haven't had a spot of bother with either. The first (the one for sale) has the Panasonic drive and my new one the Bosch Impulse with the auto power switch when gear changing. I did read that there were problems with the Bosch drives early on but these were resolved.
