I think a lot of people have not worked oit the geometry of taps and cassettes.
Yes using the fresh water tao to rinse the cassette is not best practice.
However the neck of the cassette can only contact the outside of the tap nozzlem including the thread. Water flows through the inside of it.
If one then screws on a snap-on type fitting to the tap the outside of the tap is completely cobered and isolated from the inside where the water flows.
I cannot guarantee some cross-contamination over time but I think the risks are much less than the perceptionsand the fears expressed here.
As for using wipes to clen the outside of the tap, why not use them for the inside where the water runs through?
