I was planning a few nights out at Shrewsbury or Worcester this weekend. Think I will give it a miss !!!
We were booked in on West Midland Showfield in Shrewsbury for a couple of nights, until we were told no this morning!! Last year at same time we had to abandon the site after one night because of flooding as well.
The wildcamping / motorhomers were supposed to be at Hereford this weekend but were advised it was a bit too wet for camping.

For info.. You can park and stay overnight at Frankwell car park in the town, buy 2 tickets if you take up 2 spaces due to length.
Obviously no use now with the potential flood risk but something to note in case you need it another time.. It's free on sundays and overnight, just pay day parking,

Frankwell shut as flood risk but will use it in future as found that out earlier when I was trying to find an alternative. Found a pub we could have stayed at but all roads from where we were to there were flooded. Now on a site North of Shrewsbury and hoping just to drive in and do a visit to a relative tomorrow then head for Chester for our free night at CMC site.

There have been quite a few inundations there over the past few years, but it does seem to be getting worse!
