Rally June 20th-27th Midsummer Madness Rally at Avonbank Meadows

Note to any Funsters currently not on the list who wish to come to Avon Bank for this Rally.

I note that there are still 10 places available.
Ordinarily I would acknowledge a Funsters request to attend quickly, but, for various reasons, I will not be able to do so, going forward, until 29th December at the earliest.

Please be assured that if you request to attend, I will give you a 'Thanks' as soon as I am able.

If you are outside the 37 attendees, I will create a Reserves List.

If you wish to attend, all you have to do is post up on this thread, please, something like, ‘I’d like to come.’

Please read the below information.

For reasons of safety, this Rally is ‘Adults Only’ We have no objections to children visiting for the day.
We cannot accept bookings from ‘Third Parties’. Each Funster will have to make their own booking.


Location: Avon Bank Meadows Campsite, Mill Lane, Wyre Piddle, Worcestershire. WR10 2JF
This is a Caravan and Motorhome Club CL. with a Rally field. The field has EHU and an aerial socket for all. (TV reception without this is not the best).

Avon Bank was awarded the Caravan and Motorhome Club CL of the Year 2018 and shortlisted for the same award 2024. (It received a ‘Worthy Mention’ in that Award)
It's beside the River Avon which is navigable. Fishing/boating/kayaking/canoeing are allowed from the site.
It can be seen that the space available for this event could be described as 'compact and bijoux'. I reluctantly therefore have to restrict attendees to Coachbuilt and A Class 'vans (and smaller). We cannot accommodate R.V.'s

The event starts at 1.00pm FRIDAY 20TH JUNE 2025 ending at 10.30am FRIDAY 27th JUNE 2024


The Deposit is £20 (non refundable) to be paid at the end of February 2025.
The Final Payment to be paid by 18th May.
I will send to those Funsters wishing to attend a 'Direct Message', informing you of our Banking details.


Wyre Piddle is within easy walking distance, where there are buses to nearby towns.
Pershore is a flat, pleasant, one mile walk through meadows. Pershore has an ASDA and numerous shops, bars and cafes.

Facilities: Although a basic site, Avon Bank has EHU for each attendee, There are TV Aerial sockets in the EHU posts, (bring an aerial cable,) and several water taps around the site. There are machine laundry facilities.
Access: Double gates from Mill Lane directly into Wyre Boatyard. Gravel driveway leading to the Field.

Dogs: At our last Rally we received complaints re. the ‘exercising’ of dogs. When on the Rally field, dogs should be tethered on your pitch or on a short lead. ‘Exercising’ is a euphemism. It is not acceptable to allow one’s dog to urinate and/or defecate against a unit on the site. Dogs should be taken directly off site, (and boatyard) into Mill Lane where there is ample provision for ‘Exercise’
I apologise to those to whom the above does not apply but it has to be said. I am not anti dog. It’s the poorly trained owners I am against.

Generators: As there is the availability of EHU for all, No generators will be accepted.
Pop up Gazebos. These will be accepted,

No ground sheets to be deployed.


There are no Toilet or Shower facilities on site. There is Black waste disposal.

Fishing; You may fish direct from the site subject to having a rod licence.

Deposit: The Deposit of £20 is due when your name has been transferred onto the list of attendees.
When you put your name down to attend, please provide your parties first name(s) and Reg. No. of the Van

Payment: Full Payment is due on or before 18th May

When you get on the List of Attendees, you will receive a Direct Message that will give information as to how to pay.

N.B. We appreciate that in a small number of cases there may be Funsters who have to cancel. The Deposit and Final Payment will be repaid if that place is filled by someone on the Reserve List. Otherwise the Deposit will be forfeited and that money will go to Charity.

ADULT ONLY
The Event Field at Avon Bank Meadows is alongside and has unrestricted access to the River Avon which is deep. There is no objection to a child visiting with 'Day Visitors.'

THIRD PARTY BOOKINGS
I will not be accepting bookings from 'Third Parties' on this and any subsequent events. If you wish to attend with a mate, you will both, (or more) have to book in your own name.

.My mind is still affected by last nights intro to 2025 Derek !,
But it starts at 1.00 pm Friday !!!,
