When booking make sure you select Motorhome Fun as your club.

Can I suggest that where it asks for 'Membership Number' you actually enter your username? That might help when we are trying to marry up details with the organisers.

My God I think I will have to take up designing web pages.

This utterl;y stupid pig headed Warners site insists that I have registered my e-mail with them and demands, yes demands my Warners bl**dy member number - Well Warner web designer you cretin yes I have registered when I took out a subscription to MMM but I can't find the letter which you sent me with the membership number on it, after all being a member of Warners bl**dy publication subscriber base might be of great financial benefit to you Warners but it it doesn't matter one jot to me, I didn't ask to be a member of your 'so called' club.

So Motorhome Funsters I have tried to book for three nights (Fri to Sun) by going in as a 'new' subscriber but it says that the e-mail I am using has already been allocated, well of course it has but why can't a so called intelligent web designer think that one may not be all that bothered about their Warner membership number, I don't really care about all the 'so called' benefits of being a Warner subscriber, in fact I think I'll probably not renew my MMM subscription 'cos they've upset me so much now.

What do I do Jim, Bryan anyone, shall I just turn up on the day and give the person on the gate an earful. God I think I need to go lay down, it was bad enough trying to navigate my way around the BA site today to book an air ticket, now these numpties have really angered me. I could really do all these web designers jobs a heck of a lot better than many of them

Who the hell do they think they are that their letter with their magic member number on should be so important that I file it away - I expect one of my dogs has eaten it, it's only 'cos I took out a subscription to MMM - wish I hadn't bothered now.

God now I suppose I'll have to e-mail Warners (Which of course they won't answer 'till Monday at the earliest) probably phone them as well.:Doh::Doh::Doh::Doh::Doh::Doh:

I think I might just give Peterborough a miss unless someone ahs some bright ideas on here. Sorry for the rant I am just sick and tired of having to do everybodies job for them and even sicker of people assuming that their bl**dy company and magazine etc. are so wonderful that evryone will keep their magic member number close to their heart and remember it like it was the most important thing in their life :Doh::Doh::Doh::Doh::Doh::Doh::Doh:

Opps nearly forgot please add tony and ruth to your list pls Bryan, got our free tickets a couple of weeks :thumb:

Perfect solution - Just hand written a good old fashioned letter enclosing a good old fashioned cheque and my postal address.

No e-mail, no telephone number, no mobile, and definately no Warners membership number.

Hope to have my tickets in a week or two and will then be able to meet some of you at the event  Still mad at them from last night and considering researching who owns them and who the directors are

Losos, we only live about four miles from Warners office in South Lincs. Do you want Rita to pop along, and have a word for you? :Rofl1:

Aye Jock that would be good, and after she's finished how about you get some of your mates from the fire service to park a red beauty outside and practice power hose techniques on their offices :BigGrin::BigGrin:

Hi Losos,

Have you booked to camp with motorhomefun? if you have, let me know and I will add you to the attendees list.

Regards
Bryan

That might be tricky Losos, as I was a Cambridgeshire Wholetime Fireman. The guys that cover Bourne are Lincolnshire Retained, and I don't know many of them.
However, I do know a farmer that is very handy with a muck spreader, loaded with pig sh#t ! There is less of a H & S issue with that.
Does that solution appeal to you? :Rofl1:

questions about peterborough show

hi, as i live in peterborough i think i`d be silly not to go to this show. Is the show for people in a little old f reg camper like me?? is it 35.00 for 3 nights or one night? and are dogs allowed? thankyou, junan

Hi Junan

ALL are welcome, there's no discrimination in our club

£35 is for up to 4 nights actually  'cos you don't have to be off until Monday morning if you don't want:thumb:

If you do book, remember to click the drop down box and select motorhome fun as you club to make sure that you get your discount, and put your username in where it asks for membership number. Then come back here and post on this thread that you have booked and I'll add you to the list of attendees.

Bryan

hi Bryan, thanks for your reply. ive booked from the friday:BigGrin:, does it matter what time i arrive? i didnt use membership number, im booked in as junan. Do you all go to the entertainment seperately or as a group? Thanks again and look forward to going :thumb: xjx

Hi Junan, we are just along the road from you, in the Deepings.
There are several different types of artistes on during the weekend, (including some on pitches, whilst under the influence :Laughing::Laughing:), and not everybody wants to go to the main event on the Saturday night.
Folks just tend to meet up at whichever entertainment takes their fancy, or go along in dribs and drabs. There will be too many of us anyway, to go as whole group.

It doesn't matter whether you are in a 12 tonne ARV with multi slideouts, or a little VW pop up camper, we are all together as one, with a common interest in motorhoming, and making friends. You'll be made very welcome. We look forwards to meeting you.

Just think Junan, you'll be that close to home, you can shoot off early on the Monday morning, get home, fed, changed, and still be ready in time to go to work. :Rofl1:
 Sorry about the swear word, ie, "work". :Rofl1:

TTFN,

Jock & Rita.

Hi Junan,

As Jock says there is all sorts of scheduled entertainment provided by the show organisers (details on their website). Personally we have never bothered with it, no real reason except that we spend the time chilling and relaxing with our friends from the club.

If you book for he entertainment and want to go with fellow funsters, just ask around on Friday who is going and arrange to go with them :thumb:

IIRC correctly you can arrive anytime after 9am on the Friday someone else may e able to confirm that. You will get details of times on your tickets when you get them.

Thanks for confirming your camping with us, I'll ad you to the list

Bryan

hi, thanks jock and rita :thumb: I have a close friend who lives in market deeping, youre not far from me at all! I was starting to think that i`d joined a posh `motorhome` club rather than a `campervan` club, so thanks for putting me at ease

Thanks Bryan for your info, you seem really on the ball, you were on here at 8 on a sunday morning!! look forward to going  xjx

Hi All

and are dogs allowed? thankyou, junan

Hi Junan, I know of a lovely Jack Russell and a wonderful Newfie who will be there so I'm sure your dogs (or dog) will be welcome 'tho I would imagine there will be a few restrictions (like being on a lead etc)

I doubt I will go to the night time stuff as I will too busy reading all the MH bumph I pick up and trying to pick the brains of people like yourself about MHing  (I have yet to buy my first MH)

If your dog(s) accept me I would be happy to check up on them while you're soaking up the entertainment.

Well my guess would be Nottingham / East Midlands but Stansted will be easier I would think (Straight up the M11 / A1)

The very closest is Wittering but you'll need to hire a Harrier Jump Jet to land there
