January route to Alicante via France

We have waited for many years to get in a position to do this.
30 years of going in the summer months no problem. But we are well aware this will be a big difference in travel experience.
Also first trip in the new van. New layout etc.
Can’t wait to get going now. A whole new experience. It’s what makes it special
That's great, but it isn't a big difference. I understand your anxiety but your quickly settle into the holiday and have a wonderful time.

Yes it’s worth it, nice town with a few things to see especially the Fort. Great atmosphere in the evenings especially weekends. Another good stop is Canfrac Estacion near the tunnel, newcAire there and a bit to see.
Great
Thank you for info 👍

Check the weather carefully, we followed a similar route in January 2021 after landing at the Hoek of Holland. We endured fog in Holland and Germany, then two days of freezing fog in France. There was precious little pleasure in that journey until we got into better weather.
And we have made that trip many times and had glorious weather.

May I Question that ?
Are you EU Citizens ?

So you were allowed into The Netherlands during Covid Restrictions ?

A I recall, non EU residents were not allowed to travel to most of Europe during those times \?

Just France, which is why we took the Harwich ferry, then the rules changed whilst we were in Germany, so we were able to drive through France.

Apologies I just looked at a photo, it was January 2022.

Nice Motorhome

I spy a Mercedes Chassis? 416?
The answer sits on the number plate, great van fitted with a chipped Mercedes 2.7. Unfortunately later in the trip the Comfortmatic auto box started misbehaving, having read about the likely cost of repairs if it did fail, we decided to sell on our return.

Flipping heck what's up with you lot, you are supposed to be on holiday. I'm just thinking of getting out of bed at 9:00.
Early birds, worms......................and less traffic Lenny. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. ;)

We are crossing via the Tunnel on the 5th January to arrive at Catral on the 8th. We are going down the west side as there is less likelihood of snow and there is not a lot of difference between east of west milage wise. We are doing Tours, Pissos and Zaragoza.
We did Pamplona, Huesca & Zaragoza last week and the temp in the day was 13C but windy. Night was down to 8C.

I don't do mornings.
Unfortunately we don’t have a chojce, even though when away we normally go to bed about 11-00 or 12-00 the 2 rabid Jack Russells take a running headbutt at our bedroom door about 5-30 or if we are lucky 6-30😳😳 they then go out for a pee have breakfast and go back to sleep🤬🤬🤬 once I am up that’s it I cannot go back to sleep so have an afternoon Power Nap 💤
