It is in my driveway!

Brilliant , well done for getting home safely and enjoy planning your first trip away (or sleep on the drive).
NOT ON OUR DRIVE AS IT IS A VERY BUSY 24/7 ROAD NEAR TRAFFIC LIGHTS SO ALL EMERGENCY VEHILES PUT SIRENS ON AS THEY APPROACH PLUS RIGHT ON A BUS STOP NEAR A PUB
Look forward to seeing it at Chester meet. Lots of places to explore in easy reach of you.
Enjoy
thank you Carol

Nice BIG clear Mirrors. Take it Sunday to an empty car Park (I used Yeovil Station!, when I got the first of 2 R-V`s). And practice putting it into parking bays a few times. By the time you have finished you will be wondering what the fuss was all about, Don`t know if you have one, but a 2 camera reversing unit is a real handy tool. I can put mine within a inch of the tow just on the camera.

Very exciting times but, come on, where are the photos?

We are very nosey on here. (Well I am anyway)!

Find a local campsite and spend a couple of nights there. It doesn’t matter how far you go. Our first was 5 miles away. It allowed us to nip back home for things we forgot (wife took her car too). As for reversing, just get one of your passengers to guide you back, easy please. Have a great time. :giggle:

I have a single, downward view, camera which isn’t too helpful in the dark but seems excellent in daylight but have yet to take it out and so test it in daylight.

Problem is I am a solo traveller and so help not always forthcoming but thank you.

When I bought mine a couple of years ago, I knew nothing and being a 63 year old woman I wasn't going to let it beat me :giggle::giggle: first trip out, iI found this site and asked loads of questions which were answered in minutes (such a helpful lot). I also had to reverse upwards from a side road onto a main road in the dark and rain as I took the wrong turning, but I did it, have a camera fitted now and a truckers sat nav, best investments. I still work full time but go away every other weekend and absolutely love it, best thing I ever did! Good luck on your travels, embrace it all, you won't regret it!:p(y)

Draw some chalk marks on the drive to align the wagon in the mirrors. When you are sure they are correct replace the chalk with white oval electrical trunking nailed to the ground with masonry nails.

I am 77 years old now and although new to this motorhome lark have always caravanned. Strange but never had a problem or worry about reversing the caravan although in latter years the electric mover got me into and out of some tight spots. I too have the camera and truckers sat-nav just need some decent weather!

Or do like I do, drive in a d reverse out , I'm a total Wally at reversing so always take the easier option lol
Problem is that the road I live on is so busy and house in an awkward spot that even reversing my car out can be a lengthy and frustrating excersize. Driving out is so much easier and I just snap on the hazards when in the car and wait for my moment to block the road to reverse in (yes some near misses) and did same with Moho

If you are a solo traveler. It is impossible to reverse onto a busy main road. Down right dangerous. You have so much van going onto the road before you can see anything. It is one of my pet hates. That along with the one headlight drivers. I guess that it stems from my youth when nearly all my cars had duff batteries and had to push start them or if I was lucky get a jump start. The jump leads would not reach if I had drove onto the garden.

No starting handle then?. My first 3 or 4 all had start handles, best thing since sliced bread, when your out the house and don`t want to be late for work or you get docked 1/2 hr.
