Winter storage for caravans and motorhomes at 26 Club Sites across Britain is now available to book, for members who would prefer to keep their caravan or motorhome off their drive and safe when it’s not in use.
The sites include popular hotspots such as Chertsey in Greater London, Bakewell in the Peak District, Verwood near the New Forest, Windermere in the Lake District and Scone in Scotland.
Prices start at £134 for storage at Winchcombe, for 59 days from 3 January to 3 March, or from £1.24 per night, based on a 200-night booking at Adgestone on the Isle of Wight from 3 October-21 April 2023.
Also, the Club’s Milarrochy Bay Site on the shore of Loch Lomond is offering boat storage.

How do these rates compare with ‘commercial’ storage sites (our ‘van is on the drive when not in use, so I’ve no idea……. )

We used to pay £55 a month for CASSOA gold site with 2 wash bays, air compressor, black and grey waste disposal and fresh water.

I think the storage sites can make up their own prices. I’ve recently moved from a £100 a month location to a £65 a month. Horses for courses and being in Kent then everything is multiplied by £££££’s as a standard norm.

I know lots of Funsters will be along with stories or £400 a year etc, but supply and demand is an issue. Storage is pretty scarce around here.

We store ours in a CASSOA site which is about £275 a year. Only problem is it’s a 30 mile round trip.

I was paying around £1.20 a day for outside storage.

Water was available at cost and a dump was going to be installed.

CASSOA site but that was for indoor storage.

This was close to Bishops Cleeve.

We used a CASSOA site not far from Chelmsford, as said on here, supply & demand so we coughed up about £700 a year.
No facilities other than a good natter with your neighbours.
Its kept at home now

Ours is kept at a CASSOA Gold site, stored indoors and we pay £650 per year (in advance) regardless whether we are travelling in the motorhome which before COVID was roughly 6 months of the year.

There is a long waiting list so not prepared to give storage up and can't fit on drive since we down sized house.

I pay £370 inside storage with electricity. Payment £185 twice a year.
Have my own key and come and go as I please. It’s 12miles exactly from where we live but takes 15mins on the motorway. Very happy.

Obviously depends on location, a gold cassoa site in Grimsby charges £42 / month. It hasn't gone up in a while, so I will probably get an email about that in the next week or so.

Outside hardstanding £120 a quarter in Cardiff. Gold site, wash bays, black and grey dumps and free water to wash or fill tanks. 365 day 24 hour access. I cant fault it

Near Birmingham come and go as we wish (except Sunday) undercover, 3 secure gates and alarm system ..water, power for washing and lovely location on a farm 525 pa

We’re £600 per annum for cassoa gold in the midlands - and it’s cheaper than some other local alternatives so sounds like reasonable value !

By accident I recently discovered that Now Storage had dropped its CASSOA rating. I have stored caravans and my motorhome with them for some years. I was annoyed I had not been informed of the change as my insurance gave me a 10% discount for being at a CASSOA site.
Just shows that complacency can be expensive, I hate to think of the aggravation if I had made a claim.

We are on a hard standing storage site paying £325, water on site about 4ft between each van, it has 3 locked security gates & 4 cameras, Key fob entry & it registers you as you swipe to open, also you can go to the site to do work or wash any time after 7.30am to 8.30pm any day no notice needed

Cassao Gold site with every facility, on-site wardens as it's something like a 700 van area, about 15m away from home. £385 p.a. but like many they have a waiting list.
